After spending a small fortune just to get powder coated calipers, my appetite for big money on small cosmetic changes has diminished quite a bit since bringing up this seat belt idea.

Also, the front belts are typically hanging vertical when not in use, essentially hidden alongside the seat backs unless in use. The 3 backseat belts are always visible, but I don't think the backseat belts should be calling attention to themselves in quite the same way as the fronts. So after letting this idea rattle around in my head some more, I'm passing (again).

If I had a black interior, my opinion would be much, much different. But the Stone Leather interior just doesn't reach that same level of awesome for a detail like this.

Hey all, I'm fixing to change my radiator hoses back to OEM from the silicone Z1 that is spotting. I've got the spotting on the upper and lower rad hoses and the relief hose that goes to the overflow tank.

I have the radiator hoses from Rockauto, but I'm having trouble finding the little hose. Is that a dealer-specific item?

I wouldn't have thought that tiny hose to be dealer-specific but i couldn't find it aftermarket either. Here is the "official" part:

That said, I am sure you could easily use any quality generic hose of the same diameter, no?

I'm pretty sure the hard bend where it goes into the thermostat housing would need a preformed hose. Certainly worth $15 or so...

Fun. Nissan dealer doesn't list nor carry that hose.

Well, time for a call and an hour trip to the Infiniti dealer.

Edit: They don't have it either, but can by Friday.

While I like the pretty red silicone hoses, it isn't worth risking a cooling failure when I'm driving the car on a 300+ mile trip.

Pleased to report part number D0342-1ZP9J is indeed an IPL center cap (some ads say the part number is for some EX and FX models).

Which means it fits perfectly into any OEM G37 wheel (2-1/8” dia, nine-prong). Test-fitted to my duck feet wheels:

Notable differences from the standard G37 center cap are color (dark grey vs chrome) and finish (smooth and glossy vs ridged and reflective):

Nice little triumph for me, since I’ve scoured the internet for years looking for a center cap to fit my gunmetal-coated coupe wheels. And got these brand new, shipped from the UK for under $100, which is like 400 bucks less than shops like Z1. When I come upon such a nice deal, I always say:

Frustrated

Anyone know the part number of the 2 circled in yellow?? I've ordered 3 different items from Infiniti and Z1 and haven't gotten the correct ones yet. They are DIFFERENT than the rough ones on the edge of the front bumper/hood seal. I tried those and are too small for the holes underneath. I broke 2 while messing with headlights and intakes a while back and I want them replaced. Anyone able to make my day?

Damn, the diagram is hard to read but that really looks like the right piece. I wonder where else they would describe that section of the car. I saw the textured one as well, so assumed this would be the right one... This is the one that I saw with the texture

Hexotic, Decided to try that one. Ordered a few today. If they don't work out I'll just add to my growing pile of parts and try again. Thanks for the interest in helping.

What is this sound?

Ive had this noise coming from my engine bay for a couple months now *when i shut the car off it makes like a suction noise and the engine starts clicking* but its gotten worse because i recently had a terrible coolant leak. Ive taken it to 2 different Infiniti dealers but they didnt want to help because i had a modified parts installed, so i took it to local mechanics but they cant seem to figure out what this noise is. Anyone might know what this is and where its coming from exactly?

Ge them to put a pressure gauge on the radiator and watch what happens when the car is shut off from being warm.

Could be as simple as a head gasket leak into the cooling jacket.
