Obviously I could be wrong especially since they're labeled, but I thought the top of the slots are supposed to sweep towards the back of the car.
which labels are you talking about? I don't see anything that says left/right or inside/outside. Two of them have the number 10MT on it and the other 2 say 11MT which you can see in the picture

First pic you posted had a green sticker with L on it.
At least now with the Berk's HFC, I can actually tell that I have something done to my exhaust without having to floor it. The Tanabe was very subtle until WOT, but with the HFC, there's a noticeable increase in volume. I honestly expected more rasp with the Berks seeing that they're not resonated like the FI, I'm very happy with my purchase.
Like you, I didn't have any rasp at all with the Tanabe axle back and Berks installed. Also added a Tanabe Y-Pipe and still no hint of rasp or drone. Not until I added a custom Invidia resonated mid-pipe did I start getting any type or rasp or drone, and honestly the rasp was next to nil, but the drone on the freeway at 80 mph was enough for me to eventually pull that exhaust off (albeit, after 2 years, because it really did sound good) and go back to a standard Tanabe axle back with Tanabe Y-Pipe and OEM resonated mid-pipe. Incidentally, I still have my "Frankenstein" Invidia/Tanabe exhaust if anyone is interested in it just send me a PM. If your local I'll let it go for cheap!

My car is a 2011, with 29K miles on it, and the original differential gear-oil. I have two quarts of Red Line 75W90 ready to go, but intended to use them with a 4.083 gear upgrade that I've since moved to next year. (sad) Do you think I should go ahead and swap the oil this Spring anyway, in keeping with the recommended 30K interval? Or can I wait another year and another 5k miles? Or is it the time elapsed that's really the determining factor, like brake fluid? The gear oil was $33 shipped from Amazon, and I figure my mechanic would want $50, because I'm not going to DIY the fluid swap.
So should I put it off, or do it this year anyway?
FYI... I posted up my thoughts on this in your build thread this morning.

But I still think the Tanabe Medallion axle-back is a solid choice.
Sounds good, Z. A deeper note would be nice, but it definitely sounds better than stock.
I agree 100%! I think the Tanabe exhaust is $500 well spent... pretty and functional.

I did the install myself thanks to the diy's I found on the forum. Hope you like and if you don't, I really don't care.
Looking good, Zoster. Now our interiors are almost twins.
Incidentally, you gonna be at AutoCon in April?

Install them already so you can start enjoying them and stop looking at them!
Never would have imagined that a leak at the flex pipe could make a $2k exhaust set up sound like a 20$ fart can from auto zone :\
but i m so happy its fixed now
Yes, amazing how finicky exhaust systems can be. I has what sounded to be an exhaust leak (my wife called it the angry squirrel... LOL) on my Jeep starting about 5K miles after buying it new. Since it was still virtually stock, my wife took it into the dealer ship for warranty repair and of course they couldn't find any issue with it. Months later I happen to have the batter tray out of the Jeep and noticed that one of the four bolts holding the passenger's side exhaust manifold as missing. I replaced that bolt and tightened the other 3 and angry squirrel is now gone. Just amazing how one small bolt missing can make such and awful racket!
Jeez I've been away for so long I forgot what I've added to the G. Here I did the TWB aluminum under tray.
Looks great!
I've been waiting to do this mod for quite a while now, especially since I've now broken zirk fittings off my Hotchkiss sway bar bushings on two different occasions now so I could use the extra protection down there. My only issues is that I would have to modify the cover and move the oil filter door to the opposite side since my oil filter was relocated with my GTM SC install.
Wow that sounds awesome in the rev video a couple pages back. Is it more performance rewarding to get HFC and axle back or full exhaust and OEM cats? And price difference? I can only afford 1 of the 2 but really want the deeper sound.

Oh, this is embarrassing....
Still messing with boot fitment. Someone once said: 'This isn't a plug-n-play mod'. LOL

If you're referring to my video, thanks for the compliment! I believe you will see a bigger gain from HFC alone than a catback exhaust considering the cats are the most restrictive part of the factory exhaust. Definitely recommend them.

Yes I was referring to yours. Hit reply instead of quote. Thanks for the info.
I posted this on my build thread but I'm sure I'd get more opinions here: Would It be tacky of me to paint the stock brake calipers? I think a little color would be nice and im considering adding some to the trim, a dark metallic blue.
