I think taking the battery out may be the only way. Though maybe an RFID blocker the fob could be stored in at night would work. The door button won't work if it isn't receiving the transponder code. I've been thinking about going with a Vioer I just don't trust any of the installers by me so I'm at a stall point.

I found the TT rotary plenty fast for me why I drove it though, rotary problems could be a downside. We'll see, if I make it through Stancewars next week without wanting something else or considerable new mods that may be a good sign.

Hmm, the RFID blocker makes sense. I've seen some RFID wallets around and their not badly priced. Couldn't hurt to try one out at night even with an alarm system.

I also read this on an article about RFID blockers...

As Guy mentioned in his post on blocking RFID chips, an Altoids can is actually somewhat effective as a Faraday cage. Lifehacker expanded on the idea, claiming that an Altoids can was successful in blocking the scanning of an RFID-embedded security badge. The length of time didn’t matter; it didn’t scan. But once the can was opened, the scan worked from inches away.

A cheap measure that couldn't hurt when you put your keys down at night to go to bed.

Thanks for your help Rex....

Hmm. Far more sportscar-y than a heavy sedan, for sure.

My absolute favorite Mazda was the original RX7, from '78 through '80. I almost bought one after high school, but couldn't shake the small-car feel.

It's that same too-small feeling that kept me from pursuing the TR7. Although I really did love that wedge.

The current MX5 is very much like the original RX7. Beautiful lines, elegantly simple design, but tight like a glove. Not sure if these old bones can handle a little package like that. And somewhat surprised that you want one, for pretty much the same reasoning.

I sat in the new MX5 Vert at the Autoshow last month. Let me tell you, dropping into that car like a sack of meat, and then trying to pull yourself out without benefit of a roof to grab on to... not an easy feat.

just noticed my TPMS light flashes then stays solid after a while. Just wanted to confirm this means that one of my TPMS sensors is going out or out of sync.

Just buy a refurbished set of eBay, that's what I did. They work better than the ones that came on my car.

I'm sorry. I feel I may have played a part in putting the black ring bug in your ear...

How about white rings?
Have you painted your calipers? Maybe that color...

Saving that for a future mod, when it's time to replace pads and/or rotors. So... two years out, maybe.

I'm 90% sure that I want the BBK calipers painted Acura Rio Yellow Pearl; (from the old NSX.)

Yeah mine is doing this too. How do you fix it? Do you need new sensors?

good idea never really thought about that. I usually just pick them up from other members for about $25 a pop. Only ****ty thing is that you have to unmounts and remount the tires :\ which is another cost in itself...

Most likely need new sensors but I would double check your tires and stop by a firestone to re sync your sensors to make sure its not one of those issues first

Yes that's what it is suppose to mean LOL I laugh because my wife's 2007 Nissan altima was doing that and the dealer told her they were fine. They kept flashing so we finally took it a Costco tire center to have them looked at. Turns out two had low battery life so we had them change all 4 sensors, at a reasonable price, and voila no more flashing TPMS.

ah ***** guess I m off to firestone to check it out and then ebay or something to find some sensors then back to firestone to mount them. If they were regular wheels I wouldn't worry so much but every time a tire shop is handling my Work wheels I cant help but sweat it...

I feel your pain brotha my next door neighbor makes forged motorcycle wheels and he has a touchless tire changing machine so I use him to mount and unmount my tires off my Work Wheels and even my DPE's when I had them.
