Aftermarket headers now? You're certainly not shy about modding your G.

Love that ceramic coating.

I was not originally planning to do headers right away, but one of my techs incorrectly told me that the cats would not come off without doing headers and I already had the cats. The ceramic coating certainly held up better than the finish on the cats- check out the pics in my build thread. I am rushing to get a bunch of stuff done on the car this month before a track day on April 10th.

Yeah, that was inaccurate advice. Particularly with the overwhelming evidence otherwise here on this forum, and on the Z forums. Oh well, if it pushed you into a bigger-better mod, so be it. LOL

And yes, whatever finish there is on the cats turns to pooh in a matter of weeks. Don't fret about it. Heat happens.

only reason why I didn't do headers is because of the insignificant gains vs the PITA to get them installed lol

Agreed. The ROI feels pretty low on this mod.

Now if the G didn't already have shorties, then heck yeah I'd be planning on headers.

None of that takes away from the fact that 4DRZ will have aftermarket headers, and we won't. So he wins.

I agree, the driver's side is a real PITA. I would much rather do just cats and exhaust and see about the same gains as the headers, but if you have the time there is a noticible gain and the exhaust sounds awesome.

Wow, those are so pretty! Makes me want to install a set just for the looks alone.

Hahaha. Keep telling yourself that! These were my exact same sentiments about 5 or 6 years ago and here I am still modding. Just ordered some new seats this week and am planning to have the full interior done once they arrive.

Cobra Misano 30th Anniversary Seat. It's a full reclining seat complete with full carbon fiber shell, SST brackets/hardware and diamond stitched Nappa leather. I custom ordered them with seat heaters and no lower sub-strap hole in the seat cushion.

Just haven't decided if I want them to remove the Cobra logo in lieu of something else (i.e. Infiniti logo, etc...).

Those look sick! Will you be able to wire the heaters into the factory temperature controllers? I'd definitely consider these later down the road if that's the case. Can't wait to see how they look.

That's the plan... They tell me the heaters should work with the factory controls, just need to splice into the wires running to the factory seat heaters. But I won't know for sure until I get the seats and start installing them.

In the Bride line they are probably most comparable to the Edirb 033 Reclining Seat, which is a carbon shell with full protein leather. Although the Cobra seat is lighter weight (21 lbs Vs. 31 lbs for the Edirb) and I think overall it has more of a luxurious look and feel than the Edirb seats, plus I could get it with factory installed seat heaters, which was my wife's only requirement for my new seats.
