What a day (exhausted, pun intended). Just took off my Fast Intention HFC's and exhaust (will be posting a for sale thread soon). Everything went smoothly except for shearing one of the hanger bolts (I need to quit working out, lol). Next to go are my coilovers.
Not sure who is or isn't on FB but the Japan Auction Parts guys convinced Top Secret to do a custom run of 100 oil caps. Black, with rainbow is what I'm hearing right now. There is also a link on their website if anyone is interested.

Orly? So it's happening, eh? That seems... quick.
Have you decided what Next Car is, or are you going to sell the G first?
The problem is the value of these cars have tanked.
That's a specious rationalization for a car, unless the depreciation rate turned an active car loan upside-down, because let's face it... no one is forcing you to get a new car. That said, do whatever you have to do to support whatever decision you're making. In the end, your decisions are your own, regardless the logic that went into supporting a hobby. It is a hobby, after all.
From what you've said here in this forum, I'm thinking you want a Mustang. But not just any Stang... something special. Amirite?

Not upside down but I did notice the cars perceived value has dropped about 10k in less than 2 years (pretty crazy),
Still undecided on the car. The GT350 is going to be sweet but I'm not sure I want to pay 50k for a stang (nor can I with 2 kiddos in daycare).
Right now I'm between a new STI (haven't done the 4 cylinder turbo thing yet), new mustang (meh), new camaro (going to be be fast but a camaro?), Zl1, or GT500.

Those are all on my list for potential next cars. In a couple years I'm going to have a window where my kids are old enough to buckle themselves into a booster seat and small enough to not complain about crawling into the backseat of a coupe and not being short on room.

Here's a thought: in that money is now obligated to other priorities, and given your penchant for modification, instead of a STI, pick up a WRK.
The STI has enough upgrades over the WRX--Brembos, center and front LSDs, and stronger 6MT--to justify the cost premium. I just cant get over the god awful wing and it's economy car roots.

All true. 100% One of my best friends has a 2013 STI Hatch... no dumb wing, and easy access for the dog.
Hate the wing and the economy car roots. Same reason why I never warmed up to the EVO. So... lots of respect for the cars, just not something I'd own.
Hey Todd... how about a Chevy SS? Granted, that's outside your declared price range if you want the 6MT, because new.

Wow, I knew I would miss my exhaust but I didn't think it would be this bad. This was me on the way to work this morning.
For those that don't have an aftermarket exhaust on your sedan I implore you to do it now as it makes the car a whole different animal.
Now I know I need to buy something ASAP. Hopefully I can get the coilovers off this weekend.
Also, and no joke, when my son started the car this morning (ritual) he looked at me like something was wrong. He said daddy, you need the keys! LMAO, he didn't even think it was running.

My son jumps in there now and actually has fun doing it so no problem there. My daughter is still too young but she'll grow into it if I get a coupe.

This. However, I actually like the wing (ricer at heart).

Don't really care for the looks but I respect everything else.
