I did not have to buy any extra bolts but I did have one fall off when driving.........

Well, not to be a **** but yes, I kind of hope you do because if you don't that implies Fast Intentions screwed the pooch which means ultimately I made the wrong decision.

Let me know what you've found out so I can be prepared for my install. Thanks!
I ordered mine about a month ago and had it installed a few weeks ago by a shop. No fitment issues including bumper and I have the splash shield as well.

I'd be curious to know your sample size and how you came up with the conclusion that 90% of catbacks have the dreaded hiss. I must be in the 10%.

It seems the only people bitchin* about the hiss are guys with FI exhaust AND HFC.

And AFAIK, I had no hiss with just the RHFC alone, which was my setup for the last year.

Having both seems to be the combo. Although I have no idea what to expect from alxmlr789, in that he'll also have four resonators in the system, but all of them Helmholtz. It's a completely different design consideration. (Actually, I've got 6, if you include the resonated tips. Um, nah.)

Also, it took a week for me to hear it for the first time. Are you at the point now where you hear it each and every time you get in the car? I'm not there yet, but I also don't drive as much as you, and I'm half deaf. And while I suspect we have more in common than otherwise when it comes to automotive values, we are very clearly of two different minds when it comes to priorities and what gets under our respective skins.

That said, you were right. There's no denying it. Facts are what they are. Your video proved it first as documented testimonial evidence, and now I've heard it first-hand on my own car, which means it's not specific to your build. It also means that the minor differences in our two exhaust configurations are irrelevant; (resonated cats, 18" in-line res, 2.5" pipes vs. non-resonated cats, 12" in-line res, 2.25" pipes.)

So what's the common denominator when you eliminate the differences that don't seem to matter? That would be high-flow cats, the Fast Intentions X-pipe design, and the Sebring Tuning mufflers.

What? No. Of course they give you the hardware. But living in the Northeast like I do, I got it in my head to replace the nuts & bolts with stainless steel. Turns out, 7/16" serrated, flanged nuts & bolts just don't come in SS. I've been looking for days. No problem on the 3/8" pairings.

So, i should have clarified that part of my sample size was on the G35 coupe, and I had 9-10 catbacks on there, and now 2 on my G37. Another part I left out was Catbacks WITH test pipes. So, the hiss can probably be pointed to the test pipes. Sorry for the 90% assumption, i needed to clarify. That may be a bit of an exaggeration.

I shall report back with the hiss/no hiss when FI RHFC is paired with an ARK catback

I'm just giving you a hard time

I hear it every time I start the car, drive the car, and park the car. It's really annoying but I have to say I'm pretty much used to it. I also park in a garage at work everyday so there's no getting away from it there (well, window rolled up helps).

Yeah, although I think yours maybe a little more muted than mine so the resonation helps but in no way does it get rid of it.

I just think the more air you free up the more prominent it is. While I appreciate fast intentions trying to get as much horsepower as they can I wish they would have done a little more R@D to try and combat this noise. Maybe there is nothing they can do? However, why do some other setups not exhibit this and if they don't, are they down on power compared to FI? Curious minds would like to know.

I still have the ark tips and will put the resonators on. That is if they didn't trash my mufflers already..

Can you comment on the fitment of your Takeda intake?

I second that request.

At some point someday, I'm planning on swapping out my R2C for the Takeda, and it sure would be nice to read an installation review like I did for the R2C.
