OK. Now imagine what 10" wide rear wheels can do to address that disappointment in standing start traction.

RWD + LSD + 6MT + 10" PSS

3 out of 4 ain't bad, Lego. IMO, the only thing that could be better would be to add super lightweight wheels to that config.

I'm just teasing you, buddy.

Right, but the S04s didn't lack standing start traction.

I'll revist wheels again. My original plan was to move into a CTS-V when my lease is up in July, but I've moved on from that. And since I dont want to drop $50k+ on a SS/S4/335 I'm going to keep the G, which makes investing in quality wheels more palatable to me.

You too, Mike. Looking forward to seeing what happens to our respective 6MT Sedans.

I don't have any experience with Conti DW, but these PSS are better than the OEM Bridgestone RE050A, that I can say with confidence.

At the moment I'm in the middle of a killer $30K kitchen renovation, so the difference in cost between different model tires feels like small potatoes. However, I'm sure once the kitchen is done, I'll be back to my old miserly self.
Haha yes sir, it's an addiction which I can't stop and snow just makes it more difficult to resist the temptation and any chance I get I make sure I kick it sideways here and there

Hey now, that was my plan to get a second gen CTS-V too this year but I decided to hang for some more with you guys and to wait around and see what happens, since the new 3rd Gen CTS-V will come out for sale probably by spring next year as well as the new ATS-V which is also a very exciting car but not at the given MSRP which isn't very competitive to BMW's M3/M4 segment. That being said I'll hang around for 2-3 more years and then maybe I could find either used as a CPO, also that being said I'll be sticking around I'm planning on upgrading my suspension to kw v3s later this year as well as few other goodies.

It's kind od weird....there has always been a "next car" I wanted. Now, not so much. And I really don't want a $700+ car payment, even if I can technical afford it. I know leasing and tgen buying out isnt the best financial decision, but with child care expenses costing more than my mortgage and cars combined, cash flow is a consideration.

With only 24k on my almost 3 year old car, I'm leaning towards a 3 year loan then supplementing the G with a Boss 302/Challenger SRT-8/ZL1 or go German and get a Cayman S.

In the short term wheels, with the angle that I'll use the duckfeet for A/S tires December-March so my car is useable on the off chance we get snow. I'm already laying that ground work with wifey

Dammit John, ninja edit again.. When I was typing my previous reply, this second part of your reply wasn't there haha! Yeah I'm looking forward to it as well!

What's happening with the meet up this year? Is this thing gonna work out or rather fall through?

I believe Cadillac said the new CTS-V will be auto only. And if its priced like tge ATS-V it will be close to $100k.

I was disappointed to see the ATS-V come in with such a high msrp. The Chevrolet SS with 6mt would be the most viable option for me right now....

22K miles on a 4 year old car, with less than 2 years remaining on a 5-year note. Once the G is paid off, then it's the wife's turn for a new car.

That's Connor's gig this year. Wherever it is, I'll very likely be there.

I believe 12 is the magic number.
The only thing you're missing out on is being able to set it up in the living room and staring at it in awe. You said it yourself, no mods until April right? Is that when the summer tires go back on?
Stay strong...

Yes I know so far Cadillac hasn't mentioned any word of MT which in that case would be 7MT from the new 2015 Corvette Z06, and I spoke to a guy from Houston that just had a 2015 Z06 and a 2014 Viper GTS and he's pretty sure they're going to do the new gen CTS-V with that 7MT sooner or later, as it doesn't require completely new transmission specifically built for that car but it'd be easily mated to the same powerplant that is in the 2015 Z06. And yes given the msrp on ATS-V disappointed me as well, but Cadillac's part of new strategy of moving it's headquarters to New York is to gain exclusivity even it it means less vehicles sold (read that in an article few days ago)

Yeah SS 6MT BUT...I don't like that car at all... Doesn't really look appealing to me... I know Cadillac and Chevy are kinda the same thing but I wouldn't drive Chevy other than a Vette just like I wouldn't drive Nissan except the GTR and maybe a 370Z but that's too small lol.

Mike, I forgot to add that you had very nice control when kicking the rear out in that snow. Were you feathering the clutch or did you just have crazy good throttle control?

I feel you on that John! I ordered mine last March...25th and I got it the first week of July, which was about 14 weeks. Admittedly, I probably ordered right in the height of the spring modding season, which probably delayed mine a little bit. Here's hoping that yours ships next week!

That was great! As if it's encouragement not to "give in to the jones".

I know I was more than twitchy at 11 weeks...hoping and praying with the thought, "hmmm, maybe they're running ahead of schedule and it will ship early".

Nish, do you have the Akebono brakes? It should fit. Tire calculator says you'll have 8.65mm more of inner clearance and the outer position will extend by 21.35mm, which should be pretty flush with the fender. I assumed the stock measurements of the sport wheel and 19x8 +35 offset with a 245/40-19 tire.
