Didnt even check the tire pressure. Stock tires (40k miles on them).
Empty trunk and no passenger (last time I had full trunk).
So I was technically lighter and had more hp/tq than last time (only intake, RHFC,catback).
Still dissapointed so idk what is to blame besides bad launch and maybe tires.

I cant even fathom getting 40k out of the 050A tires, and I've had them on 3 different cars.
Yep. No matter how slow I tried to let it out, tires would spin as soon as I went full throttle. Humidity about 78% more or less. Temperature about 85-90°.
then yep....only thing that could of helped would of been tires with those conditions. I swallowed my pride last month and accepted my 13.9 for the sauna like conditions I was driving in. Maybe you can try again once it cools off a little more down there and by then hopefully have some better rubber
Anyone here a fan of the A&E television series 'The First 48' ?
In last night's episode (Senior Year) New Orleans police investigate a homicide in which the victim was found in the trunk of a white 07+ G sedan.

I met up with another forum member yesterday, who happens to be local. DBall has a 2012 G37x, also in Moonlight White with a Stone Leather interior. For me, it was a good opportunity to review the differences side-by-side with a virtually identical car, but different model trim. For Dan, I suspect it was an opportunity to explore some mod options first-hand.
Some observations:
The difference between sport-seats and non-sport... night & day.
The difference between the sport side-sills and the non-sport... I never thought that was significant. But when you're side-by-side, it's actually very obvious. Sport sills, FTW.
The sport headlight assembly has a slightly deeper, darker chrome. The difference is so subtle, it's almost not even there. Seems like a stupid design distinction from Infiniti. If they were to do anything at all, they should have done more.
Thank God I ditched the OEM exhaust tips as my first mod. Yuck.
Sport bumper, FTW. To Dan's credit, he actually liked the non-sport bumper better, which works out well for him.
Lowered on RWD Swift Springs > OEM height w/AWD. No doubt.
The automatic transmission center console is so much more attractive and upscale looking than the 6MT. It just is. Win for the AT design.
Crude, non-sport brakes all rusty and worn after only two years... not good.
Dan hates the long steering in his car... very Camry-like. Whereas the close-ratio steering rack in my RWD Sport is perfect. Having driven a few non-Sport sedans over the years, that bears repeating. The RWD Sport steering ratio is fantastic.
That's about it. Good guy. We talked for about hour and a half, drove around, etc. Meet-ups are fun. And I love showing off my car.

To John's points:
Seats: I'm actually ok either way, had sport seats in the bimmer, these are equally comfortable for me (although I did get kinda used to the leg extension things). I have taken this car on a few long (6+ hour trips) and I like the comfort... I do sort of miss the way the sides of the sport seat hold you in place, but the non-sport seats are nice as well... as long as your a-hole car dealer doesn't try to repair worn seats in a practically new car by spray-painting them...
Sills: Another thing I'm ok either way with.
OEM Exhaust Tips: They really do look like sh#t... I thought that even before I saw John's... now even more so...
Sport Bumper: I really do like the non sport bumper better... I would never have noticed that the black plastic in the fog lights on my bumper were all one piece whereas his (on the sport bumper) were not... that was a pretty cool catch!
Springs: You could fit a small-ish dog between the top of my wheel and the body of the car.
Center Console: Yeah, I like mine better, too... and as much as I dislike my cup-holder position, I like it better than his as well...
Brakes: My rotors look like they were left in the rain on an abandoned farm for 9 years. I have less than 18,000 miles on the car, I think.
Steering: I actually never drove a Camry, but I'll take John's word on it. For the last 7 years or so, I've driven BMWs with sport packages... SUPER TIGHT steering... all other cars feel broken in comparison.
And a couple of things from my perspective:
As John said, this was definitely a good chance for me to see some mods in a car and ask what would probably be considered 'dumb questions'... he's a very relaxed and approachable guy with a good deal of knowledge, so it was really a fun time.
With the drop in John's car, the rims, the exterior sport appointments (sills included) and the limo tint, though, his looks a lot more like a very classy project car... not to mention the grille... he took care of the biggest exterior gripe I have about Infinitis... that damned huge, bulbous grille. By painting the perimeter to match the car color, that issue is solved. I'm sure most people have seen his pics in his thread, but seeing it in person is definitely nice... it's truly a study in tastefully aggressive exterior modification.
Interior wise, the changes are minimalistic but look very nice... Carsmo ***** (they really remind me of the old MacIntosh Stereo equipment dials... always have since I saw the first pictures of them) and the clear lens dome lights. Best of all though? That shift ****... I swear it looks damn near identical in color and pattern to the rest of the titanium in the car.
All in all, John's car made me sad...
"Disappoint" would be the adjective to describe the results of such a challenge. That said, I'd do it, because science.
