Question

So.... I just ordered a Porter Cable 6in. DA. Now what? I've never used one but keep hearing great things about what they can do. (More importantly what they can make a car look like) Anybody know or have advice on using it? Polish, wax, etc.? Do's and don'ts?

Unbolted the sway bar/end link bolt yesterday and the end link felt like it was blown. Are the end links suppose to be firm and not move around much? Very little force was needed to move it around.

I picked one up recently as well. Along with these:
Astro Pneumatic 4607 Astro Pneumatic 4607

Chemical Guys BUF_HEXKITS_8P Chemical Guys BUF_HEXKITS_8P

I'm sure there may be better options, but I'm not a detail pro and these seemed to work well enough as a noob/starter set.

As for products, I referred to this thread https://www.myg37.com/forums/car-car...oduct-for.html

For my detail this past weekend I used a Nanoskin Autoscrub Clay Wash Mitt, Meguiars Ultimate Compound, Chemical Guys M-Seal, and P21S Concours wax.

Brake Pad (ET500)
+1 on these pads. They're fantastic street pads and I've been running them for the past two years.

I'm about to upgrade from the ET500 pads to the ET910 pads which are a little more stout. Once I install them, I'll post a full review.

Excuse my noob question but you're telling me these 350Z (Brembo) FRONT 03-07 brake pads will fit our sedans with Akebono BBK? - Unless you just posted the wrong link

My breaks started squeaking lately and It's time to consider new brake pads, and I wanted to get OEM pads due to low dust and little to no squeaking but if these ET500 will be low dust and little to no squeaking with additional stopping power then perhaps that may be(?) the way to go for me

^^ Mike, you would need these ET500 pads specifically for the Akebonos:

INFINITI: G37s - RacingBrake.com

The will work in both the 370Z and our sedans. I have 40k miles on my ET500's and they've been very low dust and there is only a slight squeak (it's more of a wet brakes sound) when you have your foot on the brake and you're creeping along very slowly (slow as in only inches per second) like when you're in a bank drive through or something. Other than that, they're silent. It's not annoying and I've never had any passengers even notice it. Hope that helps in your decision.

alright I guess that helps in my decision , in couple weeks time I'll be thinking about purchasing those for front and rear... wondering if I'm going to need to replace my rotors.. hopefully can they still be put to some use with new pads since I don't need any fancy drilled rotors..

You have a 2013 Sedan, right?

What have you been doing that you need new rotors and pads already?

You should definitely not need new rotors. However, I would get them turned when you install the pads and follow RacingBrake's bedding in process for the pads.

I'm laughing, but only because I relate to the whole car-mod purchase contingent on something else.

Congrats. 3 weeks vaca in one lump sum is nice.
