Looks like someone bought it to flip, registered in Illinois 21 days ago. Looks clean!
Scares me a little as used OEM parts for these cars are easily acquirred for cheap and I have noticed there are 2-3 flippers on Reddit that trash the cars in posts regarding "what's this worth", which of course drives lower resales on outlets like FB Marketplace.
It would be pretty easy to buy clapped/abused for pennies on the dollar, and restore to near OEM condition.
That's why I believe the story is worth so much more than the outward appearance, which is easy toi disguise. Not sure if this is one of those cars.
Took the car out of the garage a few days ago, and it’s already consumed by the yellow fog ‘o death
Same thing happens here in SoCal within hours of pulling your car out of the garage. It's obviously much more noticeable on dark colors. I absolutely love the look of a black car when it is perfectly clean and I have two black cars right now, but would never buy another black car as long as I live in SoCal. Ceramic coating definitely helps "repel" the dust since a light layer of dust will just blow off when you drive the car, but if the dust builds up at all or if the car is dirty the ceramic coating does little to help.

I can still justify the higher maintenance of black paint. But the older I get, the more upkeep I outsource. I’m washed up…

Tick under 60k miles, I think I’ll finally cross over during an upcoming road-trip.

Got pretty close, there’s likely has a buyer out there somewhere. But FB Marketplace seems like the land of lowballing goofballs. I wouldn’t try to sell a car on there unless it was a beater that I had to get rid of quickly or something.

What's funny is that I listed my mint condition OEM Mufflers, Sport Sways and Engine Cover on FB Market and have received almost zero interest other than dozens of "still available?". I also listed a pair of stock Prius hubcaps from my daughters car and was overwhelmed with offers for those as they sold in 2 days. You just never know on FB as I sold my Tanabe and custom Vibrant resonated midpipe on FB Market in a day as well, for about 70% of what I originally paid. You can never tell.
I will list my G goodies here at some point. Mailing large car parts makes me nervous. Even Stillen couldn't get my new swaybars to me unscathed and I know enthusiasts are ultra-picky.
I am planning a ~1000 mile road trip this spring through some scenic and twisty mountain roads in Idaho and Montana. I have always tried to keep my cars well maintained and have never suffered a breakdown on the side of the highway and want to keep it that way. With my G being 14 years old, it's making me think of what I should bring to be prepared. So, what parts/tools/fluids would you bring along with you on a road trip?

One of those portable air pressure devices you can plug into the cigarette lighter. I bought one a few years ago, and keep it in my trunk. It's really quite useful.
Oh, and bring a torque wrench, instead of the little thing that comes with the OEM jack.

In addition to the first aid and (full Nissan) tool kit that came with my G, I also carry these three items (in both my cars): Tire repair kit (even though I do have a spare tire) Portable Air Compressor Battery Jumper pack
At a minimum I would have the jumper pack- that thing has helped more cars than I care to count as most people don't even have jumper cables anymore.
Overkill. Maybe.
AAA may be something to look into though, for me, it's more of a waste than a benefit in my area. YMMV
Good, safe travels to you!
