thanks for the input guys! Also wondering if its absolutely necessary to run XL load tires?
What tires are you considering? Most tires speed rated at V or better will have adequate load ratings for the G, I'd look for at least a V rated speed and a load of 94. My Kumho Ecsta Le Sports (Max performance Summers) for example are Y rated and 100 Load rating.
New to MyG37 and I need some help! I am putting the 19x9 coupe rears on my sedan and have noticed that even though the wheels I have are 19x9, 45 offset, and have "JL 14B 45" and "N062-990A" stamped on the inside of the wheel, some wheels are stamped Enkei J1 and some are Enkei J2. DOES IT MATTER and what does it mean? A local shop told me to try and get all matching because of weight differences and possible issues with the traction control. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Not sure what the difference would be w/ the J1 & J2 most likely it's just the release date, but the part # you listed IS the correct one for the 19x9 +45 OEM wheel. If there is a difference it may be what's stamped on the outside of the wheel, I've heard that some of the coupe 19s have Enkei stamped in the barrel area, and some don't. As far as any difference in the look or structure, since it shares the same part number there should be no difference.

None of the wheels I have, both J1 and J2, have the Enkei stamp on the front of the wheel so I have no idea what the difference could be. But the part numbers being the same thats exactly what I was thinking myself, shouldn't be any difference. Thank you!
gonna sound like a such a newbie but i need to understand the process before i start buying...looking to get summer wheels/tire combo and I found a rim i love (XO Luxury X233 Caracas). They are 19x8.5 F and 19x9.5 R. I have read the various forums of the tire differential but it's kind of all gibberish to me. How do i know what tire size to get for these rims? and do I need to do anything to my car in order to fulfill the staggered combination eg does my car currently have the staggered combo (2013 g37xs)?
stop
learn yourself how wheels and tires work together in relation to your vehicle
I wouldn't make a purchase until you actually understand what you're buying so there are no mistakes. Going staggered on an AWD is always a debate; my opinion is to stick with square set ups, especially in your case.
The information is out there, find it and learn it.
isnt this a forum where you come to learn things and share experiences with others? I have looked online and wanted to get a foundation of what to look for and what certain things mean (havent bought anything yet)...so seems like a pretty informative group to give me a little bit of a stepping stone no?
