Hi all,

very first post but been lurking this forum for sometime now. Went through all 66 pages in this thread and searched other threads as well but would like a definitive answer on swapping TPMS please!

I have '11 Journey and just picked up a set of staggered sport coupe wheels and it has regular valve stems. Tires are 30% and I'm getting new ones installed this weekend. Will swapping the TPMS from my 17' Journey wheels to the 19" staggered sport coupe wheels work? Do I need to bring it to the dealer to get the TPMS reprogram/resync? I've seen yes and no answers to this. And I've read people who swapped the TPMS, it worked fine for a week or two but then the low tire pressure light came on/blinked. What's the proper way to get the TPMS from the 17's to work on the 19's??

I also read that the each TPMS is pre-programmed to each corner and when rotating your tires, it could throw it off? Any truth to this? I've already installed the 19's on and have no idea what order I took the 17's off.

All input is greatly appreciated!

Any reputable garage will be able to do it no problem. I did the same thing on my 2010 and they swapped the sensors, replaced bad one, mounted and balanced the tires, and installed new lugs because I was installing Coupe rims from an 05 and mine didn't fit. Total was $180. They had some computer that read the TPMS and calibrated everything.

The coupe wheels look especially sleek on black. Love it!

many people I've seen here also prefer the convertible sport 19" wheels as they are a bit more concave.

They also have lower offsets which means you don't need to use spacers when lowered. Harder to find though.

Are you selling those? I've been looking for some everywhere and haven't had any luck so far. I'm extremely interested if you are.

Professionally refinished.
Powder coated inside out in Mega Gray, its the closest match to the IPL wheel color in my opinion.
