So why did you pick a sedan over a coupe?

Exactly! I'm an Infiniti enthusiast and can't understand why we have to come here to see "family infighting" about which model or style is the best. Expressing personal taste is one thing, but any form of Infiniti bashing is uncalled for! It's much like certain family members boasting they are superior over other family members, yet the exact same blood flows within them all. Such is the case with our cars...

Now making derogatory comparisons toward other manufacturers is open game!

I was given a G37S Coupe loaner while my sedan is having something done to it. I much prefer the tight suspension and steering, and of course its generally quicker all around as you would expect.

Visibility is poor though, and my head hits the ceiling unless I lean the seat too far back for my liking. I think you'd have to be pretty short to drive this thing comfortably, unless you're one of those people who drives in an almost horizontal position.

I wanted a coupe originally, but decided I was too old for that. I guess I was right.

Wait...are you saying the coupe is quicker than the sedan? Because every time I get a loaner G37 sedan, I swear it feels worlds faster than my G37S coupe.

The sedan is like 4/10ths of a sec quicker in the qtr mile. Something marginal like that.

I picked the sedan because I have two boys, one 5 yrs and one 6 months. It is great for business lunches as well, since at least one of my colleagues is over 6' tall.

I didn't mind my coupes as a teenager (Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T Convertible, 280ZX) but now I really don't feel like getting out of the car to let rear seat passengers in and out.

I just wonder why Nissan touts the Maxima as the "4-door sports car" when, in my opinion, the G37 drives much more sporty and costs around the same. (Sorry off topic)

My son is 6'-8" and he loves the sedan, but being 22 he still prefers the coupe. Ultimately though he would probably go with sedan because there is more room for a taller person.

Yeah it felt quicker to me, seemed more nimble, but that could be because of the tighter suspension and steering. Maybe it's just a perception thing. I haven't looked it up but I would guess the coupe is lighter, and having the same engine you would think it would be quicker. It was certainly better on corners, but that's to be expected (I only have an X, not an S or XS). I suppose the X must be a bit heavier still since it has the AWD stuff in it too.

I got my sedan back last night though and I decided I like it better, it's less coffin-like and certainly speedy enough. I liked the Nav package in the loaner though, not so much because of the Nav but because the audio system is a lot better. Should have got it.
