will G25 increase G37 prices

will G25 increase G37 prices
First off I really like the idea of the G25/G37 mix. Even though I think infiniti would have been better served with a nice new turbo 4 that gets better gas mileage. Still for me the engine was partially what attracted me to the G37. The other big thing was price.
Now I bought the last 2009 my dealer had on the lot, so I got a great deal on it. But I remember when I was shopping back in March, they were even offering the updated 2010 G37 Journey for $29,000. Now that the G25 is out , those are being offered for $29K and the G37 is offered for $31+K.
Are other people noticing this too. I guess that is a neg for future G37 buyers. Thoughts ?

The G25 replaced the G37 base so you won't see the G37 moving up market just becuase of the G25. You might see across the board price increases due to inflation or currency fluctuations though.

G25 lowers the base entry level to compete with the 328 (and like the acura TSX if it gains ground) and removes the Base G37. the VQ37 variant becomes a more premium model.
that's about it... don't confuse the MSRP price with what your dealer is offering. MSRP is MSRP and the g37 journey is not 29. it's always been 34-35. with the base being 32-33. nobody buys the base model G37... but the g25 is different cause the damn thing is gonna avg like 30mpg. the G25 will be entry at 30k and itself will also have a journey and X variant. without any of the sport or navi upgrades.

The G37s being offered for $29K ( MSRP is around $35-36K ) were all Journeys. Now the base G25 will be offered for that price and the G37 Journey has gained $2K+. I sure am glad that I bought my G37 before this because I think it will be harder to get a good deal on those now.
And for 2+ mpg highway it doesnt seem worth it . But again, if you dont care about the engine , which 90% of people dont, then why not.

They are Lux/Performance cars, does anyone remember the g20.
That was a nissan sentra 2.0 motor with 140hp & 0-60 in like 12 seconds.
Im sure the g25 has some decent power unlike the g20.
G25 reminds me of the 96 j30t I had, it had twin intakes with 215hp.
At least this has a decent v6, this would be more for my parents.
BTW they have a 37 coupe.
