The computer shows MPG better than it really is.

Having a G and living in NYC is a killer on gas money. I'll usually get 28-30 a gallon on the rare occasions I drive upstate. But on a day-to-day basis, my commute to campus and to work in the city gets me 13-14 miles a gallon. Rush hour will bring that number down to about 9 haha

90% Highway, 10% local, non traffic or stop and go. (DSM, Iowa). 25.1 MPG based on the Trip computer. I am glad its not too terrible. In real life, I get about 450 miles off a tank of Premium 91 grade (only premium choice available in Iowa) But even if it was to dip, I wouldn't mind.

My latest fillup gave me: 8.5L/100kms = 27.673MPG according to the Trip Computer.

But my Gas Cubby app says 9.0L/100kms = 26.136MPG

i get two different MPG values in the car... the trip computer shows about 27-28MPG but when i hit status on the monitor the MPG shows up there as 24-25... wondering what the difference between the two is? actual gas fill-up to miles calculated is completely off too! at one point i was getting 29MPG on a 280mile drive station to station while the computer was saying 27MPG...

I change my tires May, when I went to get my new pirelli tires the guy said you must be cooking those winter tires I didn't quite understand, my response was no because I drove my gixxer most of the time but the one time I drove it oh boy they were really cooking.

My co-worker drove 2 whole summer with his winter tires and boy were they cooking every time.

The MPG values in the instrumentation (between the tach and speedo) are reset separately from the one in the large screen for the GPS/Radio/Climate Control.

For example. The one in the Instrument panel I reset every fill up while the one in the center screen I haven't rest since I bought the car.
So one shows my average for this current tank of fuel and the other shows my overall average.

2013 G37x running Shell 91

27 mi/gal on 225-mile trip from Secaucus, NJ to Cambridge, MA. This included stop-and-go traffic in Jersey and NYC. I'm very pleased.

Just made it through my first tank. 21.9mpg. I'd say I drive a pretty mixed 50/50. The car is still new to me so I have not been that easy on it. I was pretty happy with that.
