This is unreal lol I've never seen a tick above 25mpg. But then again I always cruise on the highway around 75mph

Spinning ain't winning!

I put about 400 miles on my 6MT coupe over this past weekend and 90% of it was highway cruising set at 70mph. My cluster showed an average of 25mpg. I'll reduce this to 65mph to see if there's a significant increase in efficiency.

Tires don't generally spin unless I want to drift a corner truthfully. my Nokians Hakkapelitas do their job well. I just tend to have too much fun going sideways. :-P.

I am 90% city though, which doesn't help.

Full stock XS sedan ('11) i'm getting a long term average of 22.5 since getting the car in September. Was holding at 22.8 but dropped in the past month, winter fuel maybe? Overall pretty happy with 22, I was expecting worse. I traded mt Xterra for this car which was around 16.5 for years until I changed the plugs (that's literally all I did) and went to 19.
Pushing 60K so i'll be doing the diffs, T-case, drop-ins, along with the first oil change soon. I have no idea what the dealer I bought it from used, but I doubt it was full synthetic. Hopefully this will help, if even just a little.

So far my long term average is 19.1.
Sure, it's not an accord or other fuel efficient being, but the smiles per miles sure make up for everything else.

Alright need some help. I left on a trip to AZ with my truck and left the car with my wife, the battery ended up dying while I was gone and her father replaced it.

So when I got home I noticed the mileage was only at 200 or so and the gas light was on, so I thought that was weird but the battery was disconnected so I asked when she filled up last and maybe managed 100 miles before the battery deal. So after filling up and leaving back to AZ for another week I got back home and noticed the gas gauge was only at 130miles and nearly to a half tank.

So in my past experience mpg usually goes up after a ecu reset, not down. Also its been about 300 miles so I feel like its had ample time to re learn. So I was wondering if maybe something was missed and needs to be re learned after a battery disconnect thats causing me to get such crappy mileage.

Im starting to think maybe I need to reset the ecu again, drive it myself easy on the highway to see if I can get it back to where it was

Before I was getting 27mpg prior. 2012 xs

After a couple weeks of ownership I am getting around 20mpg in the city and around 31-29 on the highway. I am shocked how low some mileages are, people must love that right pedal.

Yeah, you must have 40 pounds of air pressure in your tires!

Haha! Yeah, the highway runs were not even that long and with some mild traffic, up here in Minneapolis. The car is bone stock and low mileage though, so maybe that contributes. Who knows...

Really good numbers! I have a 13 G37x also. Im in the Chicago suburbs, usually do about 80% city/suburb type driving and 20% highway. In the warmer months, I usually get around 19-22 mpg combined and in the winter (this is my first winter with my G) I have been getting about 17-18.5 mpg combined. I track all my fuel usage and fill ups on AUTOsist. There are also other expense and reporting features you can use for free.

Yeah, so I am getting similar numbers on this next tank as well. The city is just a killer on the mileage. I am doing about 75mph on the freeway, so not sure what gives with the larger number.

I am driving from Mpls to Milwaukee next week, I will see what I can pull on that longer trip and report back.

Reset after 3 months of no reset which had settled to 22.3. The last tank was at 23.3 when I filled this morning. Still pleased with that in the winter, although I've been driving like an old person. I'm mostly rural roads, no true highway driving. In my 30 mile commute one way I have 3 stop signs and 6 stop lights, but do have some mountain driving. Hoping to improve after 60k tune. My aFe drop ins will be here next week! I'm not holding out hope that these help, however.

Gas use

I have a stock 2009 G37 x bought 2 weeks ago with 78,000 miles on it in Arkansas. I drive 65 on cruise control getting between 30-33 mpg. I drive a hour to work, mostly highway, and these were my last 2 trips:
