That doesn't seem right to me really. There is that A/B Reset on the left, which I reset both. I also reset the tripmeter using the right dash button, so everything should have been reset and my mpg was at 0 before I started it up.

I was thinking I'd be getting 24mpg, not 19-20, on the interstate. Maybe my car has a problem? (500miles on her). It runs like a champ, but the gas mileage seems off.

Yea, according to the specs, the G37 should be getting better mileage then the G35.. I'm avg'ing 18mpg. (100% city driving).

I would suggest going in for a fill up to get some fresh gas in tank.

Drove from Vegas to Phoenix. Average 22.5, including a 45 min traffic delay at Hoover dam.

You only have 500 miles on it, you shouldn't expect to get the 19/26 yet. Wait until your car gets broken in after a few thousand more miles. Your mileage will improve. Right now, I'm just shy of 1000 and I'm having the same issue as you. I think several people on this forum have stated that their gas mileage has improved after a certain mark.

It's funny how every model Infiniti has a number of threads on gas mileage, M, G35, G37, and FX. Bottom line is our cars love gas. City driving will be horrendous for mileage until Infiniti decides to do something. People in the M forum know beforehand that the car sucks in this dept but still complain after purchase.

yeah its kinda funny that this car gets 19/26 when a pontiac gto with 400hp/400lb torque gets 19/28... What the hell.

I don't really mind the gas though. Whats pissin me off is in the KC area I can't find ANY gas above 91 octane. Will it be bad running 91 as opposed to 92 since I seriously can't find it anywhere.

^^ manual says at least 91 right? Yeah the near 450hp vette gets almost 30MPG hwy. The LSx motors are extremely powerful and efficient though and are even built on push rod technology! My '99 trans am (LS1) got an easy 22-25MPG with aggressive driving. 350 horse to the ground, heavily modified.
