At 3800 miles, I'm averaging a steady 20.4 MPG on mixed driving.

My communte is mostly highway, but sadly it's often near gridlock, which doesn't make it typical highway driving (average MPH on my computer is usually at 35).

The running average meter in the cockpit doesn't update till you reset it. There's another in the touch screen you can also reset, and it'll keep track of the past 10 or so in a bar graph. The one displayed in status is the current bar graph meter.

I realized this awhile back. At first I thought it was cumulative... and then that it wasn't working. But I do reset after fill-ups and have been for some time. And I still always come up with between 20.2 to 20.4 or so each time. Once I take a few trips and vary my daily driving, I'll be watching to see how she does.

I picked up my new G37 last week. Took a 150 mile drive on the highway averaging about 75 mph and got 24.1 gpm. I was happy with that considering I still have less than 500 miles and it should improve once broken in and I switch over to Mobil One at the first oil change.

My first tank came out to around 17. The one I'm on now is at 20, but that's with a good amount of highway. I only have 540 miles.

The 27MPG I reported was with cruise control on the freeway. Commuting to and from work I get 18-19, which is pretty much my average unless I'm cruising on the freeway. Driving habits vary, but I am happy with my 18ish average.

Try it with the cruise control sometime and see what the MPG is like then.

And shumby, you're making my head hurt

Cruise control is great. I just went to Vegas this past weekend in my Accord and I SHATTERED my previous record for miles per tank. Although I didn't get it down all the way to E, I used up a little less than 2/3 of a tank (16 gallon tank) and I managed to get 270 miles out of it. I estimate I would have been well above 400 if I milked it.

One of these days I'm gonna have to take my G to vegas and find out. My guess would be around 450-500 miles cruising at 80.

Why complicate things? :P 12 L/100Km = 19.28 MPG .. which is pretty good I think.

The measurement on my current tank is a bit wack - It started off displaying 23MPG, and has dropped all the way to 16 MPG over 50miles?! My typical average has been 18.2 MPG.. and driving habits/conditions have not changed a bit...

Hey guys,
I just picked my car up last Thursday and am getting 15. I don't believe in break in periods so......

By the way, I was interested to see some New Orleans drivers on here. I'm in Baton Rouge.

I'm getting about 14 in heavy Atlanta traffic. This is with just over 800 miles on a MT.
