Miles Per Gallon Feedback
I have a good mix of both City and Freeway miles. Had my G for half a year. I'm an easy driver, and I don't ever floor it on every other straight. 95% of the time, my RPMs don't go over 3k. In the most sensible driving, my MPG average is exactly 20.6. I've restarted the mileage computer a few times, the average always comes to 20.6.
I am getting under 10 mph, mixture of city/hi. Usually full throttle when the light turns green. Also there is a stretch of road on the way home that I like to pop it up to 140 or so depending on traffic. I also love burning the tires and doing donuts. I feel like a kid again in this car. God Bless the Infiniti engineers. I just wish they put a bigger gas tank in.

Hello, fellow coupe owners. I was wondering how do you get your cars to drive you more than 16 miles per gallon in a city. No matter how gently i step on the pedal, I still end up getting 12 to 13 mpg.
Could it be the fact the the engine is settling in (i got the car brand new this past Saturday) and I should expect reduced consumption once certain mileage has been reached?

Today was the best I've ever gotten driving down to visit friends in Louisiana... Some back roads and a little freeway. All with AC on, speeds vary due to speed zones but cruised at 80MPH for over 50 miles of the trip. NAV said I made 27.9MPG average but here is the math I did when I refilled after the trip.
I traveled 332 miles
Pumped 12.2 gallons to refill
27.2MPG !!!!
332 /12 = 27.21311475409836
I love my G! I run Royal Purple and the mileage is always impressive to me after reading what others are getting sine I switched to the Royal Purple! Also installed Stillen Stage 3 CAI in Jan 2011, no other mods (yet).
This G has 44, 421.1 miles on it right now and runs better as they add up. My G35 had 94K+ when Hurricane Ike took it in 2008 and it ran better than new for sure. Also had original clutch which was still pretty strong at 94K.
I think this G is just really starting to break in. Love it!

in my daily commute to work (4 miles city, 50 miles hwy) round trip i am averaging about 26 mpg per the trip computer. on the highway i am driving anywhere from 60 - 70 mph. when i driving in the city mostly with some highway i get about 20-22 mpg.
i have an 09 g37s coupe automatic and i have about 13500 miles.
