Would rear camber arms alone be enough for a 1” drop?

Is this all I would need for a minimal-1” drop? I just want to fix the wheel gap my car has at an affordable rate. I’ve heard lowering the car can create camber issues, so are the rear camber arms enough to combat this for a small drop?

What suspension components are needed for a 1" Drop?

Lowering my car by 1" this weekend on Tein Flex Z coilovers. I bought rear camber arms and toe bolts as that seems to be what gets far off when you lower our cars. On a 1" drop, will this be okay or will I end up needing the front camber setup as well?

You’ll be fine with just rear camber arms and toe bolts at an inch or less of a drop 👍 Same setup here. I’m lower than that on the Flex Z coilovers in my coupe too and still haven’t “needed” front aftermarket upper control arms/camber arms, with a fender gap of a finger or two. IIRC I’m at -2.1 or -2.2 degrees of camber in the front- caster and toe was the limiting factor IIRC, since you can’t adjust the OEM upper control arms caster and camber, and only have so much toe adjustment up front on OEM arms.

Half of a good alignment is finding a shop with someone who knows how to use the alignment rack properly- I was lucky I had a friend at the time (before I started wrenching on Volvos) heavy into suspension work who fine tuned everything for me. If you have a shop locally that you’ve seen lowered cars at, there’s probably someone there who knows how to jam on a Hunter rack and get you setup in spec- might be worth asking around unless you already have a shop you trust.

Enjoy the coilovers! Makes it a different car.

Reviving this thread to see if anyone has ever tested this with G37/370z... but

Would pulling out some negative camber in the rear also pull in the added toe-out from lowering?
I'm wondering if it would really be necessary to get toe bolts because my alignment shop did get toe within spec but on the high side. I'm not sure if its the added camber affecting toe or just the geometry change of lowering overall.

Currently at an aesthetic but overly aggressive -2.4 camber in the rear and about 0.15 degrees toe out and would want to maybe -1.5 camber.

Toe and camber arm eccentric bolt lockouts are pretty standard gear for lowered Gs. How much are you lowered? And is this RWD or AWD?

1.2" front 0.9" rear give or take a bit, this is the out of the box setup on my HKS coil overs

You're probably right on the cusp of needing some adjustable arms. What did your alignment shop say?

Just said they didn't want to try too hard to get everything perfect because the adjustments were a bit crusty, didn't wanna break anything. they actually got the toe back into spec but better to be close to zero for street use.
