front camber

I recently just lowered my car on megan springs, gave the front a 1.7 drop. I notice the front cambers a bit but not as much as the rear. Wanted to hear from experience if anybody will recommend a front camber kit or just get the rear and call it a day. front wheels are 20x8.5
I did do some research on here as well but just want to know if anybody has a setup of just rear camber kit with stock front with a similar drop and wheel size.

Don't do it for that drop or any drop for that matter. You'll be fine. I'm on my second G and never installed aftermarket front camber arms. Do the rear camber arm and toe bolt, depending how low you are, and call it a day. A lot of guys have experienced issues with front aftermarket camber arms as well. Get an alignment and have them align it as best as they can and you're done. i've been slammed on stock wheels and 20's and front tire wear has always been normal.

Don't take the first wrong advice you read.

Do a search and come to your own conclusions.

i actually did do a search as i stated on the first post, just wanted to have some feedback from members with similar drop and wheel size and what there experience was with just a rear camber kit and stock front, which the other member answered cause based on his response he only has rear camber kit only. Also I think thats the reason of a forum, communicate with other members and see what there experience/opinion would be. whether is positive or negative its cool with me.

I've got F&R arms and rear toe kit, just wanted to be sure to get everything within oem specs, mainly for proper tire wear. oem specs are there for a reason, but having a bit extra front camber isn't a huge deal, but $300 to put it in spec isn't a bad deal IMO.

No, not a bad deal, especially when running on $1400 worth of Michelins!

My response had nothing to do with being right or wrong. I gave my opinion based on my experience. I never bought or used front camber arms. I've owned 2 G37S coupes. My 08 was dropped on S-techs and I put 26k on them in 1.5 years and never had abnormal tire wear on the fronts. My 11 was slammed on Tanabe susptec pros, with 20' vossens and stock wheels at a different time but never with aftermarket front arms and still no abnormal front tire wear. I know plenty of G owners, some of which who are on this forum, who can contest the use of aftermarket front camber arms. Some people are **** about their ride, I get it. They want a fresher look but want to stay in exact specs. That's their preference. Just because it isn't OEM recommended doesn't mean it's necessarily wrong or not good for the vehicle. Example: stock wheels come 19x8.5 and 19X9-does that mean that when I put 20's on my G that I am wrong? It isn't in OEM specs. Or when guys add spacers and or get wider tires, is that wrong? Some may argue that but the fact of the matter is it doesn't affect the car in such a way that it causes any noticeable performance issues.

The fronts will not wear out as fast due to it's dynamic nature (i.e steering input), which does help "even out" wear across the tread. The rears will almost always have the same section of tread hitting the road.

That said, a camber kit may not be necessary for your fronts, but installing one will extend the life of your tires. It's a question of just how much life you want to wring out of those tires.

For the longest time i was dropped on BC coils with a drop equivalent to Eibach's. Camber was just slightly out of spec, toe was within spec. It was fine. However, as the dampers and springs wore down, the geometry changed and i was starting to get toe wear that could no longer be coaxed. I finally bit the bullet and had front/rear kits installed. On hindsight, i should've done it up front instead of waiting so long.

Waiting so long wasn't the wrong thing to do, it just wasn't the best idea either. I managed to get nearly 30k miles out of the prior set of tires before the suspension changed for the worse. I barely made it to 15k on the next set once that toe started attacking the tires. I pushed it beyond 20k, but the tires became unbearably loud with whirring noises included.

p.s. I run square and rotate every 5k, F/B and L/R via dis/remounting.

^ Check Amazon every now and then. I got mine for roughly $275 at a time when it was going for more than $325 everywhere else.

Got them all together (F&R+toe kits) from ThMotorsports for $500 shipped a couple years ago.
Might check w/ them and see what they can quote you. They treat site members pretty well over there.

PM GenomeTuning. Just ordered F&Rs camber/toe shipped for $485 three days ago. I'm slammed on H&R springs as of two weeks ago and finally decided to bite the bullet after forum feedback. IMO worth it to get back in specs to get the max life out front and rear tires. After all....tire prices aren't going down.

If you can't find the SPC cheap, look into the Eibach's. Same exact thing.
