No need for complicated mechanisms and computers to decide when to shift and all that crap.

A manual tranny can handle anything you throw at it. At half the cost of a overly complicated and heavy automatic trans.

Manual tranny can handle anything but stock Nissan clutch can't, they would have to upgrade it to handle a lot more torque. Also dual mass flywheel they use is horrible for performance

Do people still buy Lincolns? I haven't seen one in a while, they might as well be called Studebaker.

+1

Same with Cadillac, they have some amazing performers but they are hideous and still have the "old man car" stigma around them.

What "old man car" stigma do you speak of?

I don't get it either, it's not the ugliest car I've ever seen but it's just not good looking.

Yeah, but all you need is to upgrade the clutch. You don't need to rebuild the transmission. Even after that, it's still 2-3K cheaper and will be more reliable than any Autos out there.

If the dual-mass flywheel aint working with the 3.0T turbo, Nissan can simply replace it different flywheel w/o having to rebuild the transmission from scratch.

In any case, I hope they make a manual option available. Even though I'll prolly get a different car. Unless I like what I see when it's finally released.

Seems that I picked up on something new that is coming to Infiniti as a 2018. At 5:55 mark Roland stats that the first joint venture vehicle from Infinti and Diamler will be built in Mexico.

Now I have heard that the q30/qx30 would be built in NA but the way he said it made it seem that this is a brand new model. Let the speculation begin.
