Man I had high hopes. Was thinking $51,300 for the "base" RS without packages, not too bad! I don't need nav but I do need heated seats, grr. Ok fine, I get the premium package even though Google Maps will still be far superior and easier to use. I completely forgot I'd need the driver's assistance package to get the DAS. So I either shell out another $6K over base or get a 400hp car with **** steering. Awesome. Why in the f*ck would you saddle your halo car with a much maligned steering system? I'll have to take a hard look elsewhere.
Really wish they would have been more flexible on the package requirements. Requiring the DAS if you get the Tech \ Drivers Assistance packages isn't ideal. (Also would much rather have the black trim with the red interior but only Silver Optic is available).
Does anyone actually have confirmation that it's coming with 20s? Or is that a mistake on the page?
They should have made the options as individual add Ons instead of fixed packages. It's making it hard to build the exact car you want. I think car companies lose money this way, but I guess having packages makes mass producing a particular equipped car easier for the company.
But it will most likely turn buyers off if they feel there isn't enough in the package worth spending so much money for.

Its most likely a mistake, they revised the owner's manual to take out the 20s and replaced it with specs for 19s across the board.
But anyway...what I really find interesting is, as far as I can tell, it's the same chassis as the current model except for a few stamping a here and there and obviously new bodywork. Which made that M2 CSL vid relevant because the G37 coupe isn't the best at putting power down even with the VLSD.
If the front suspension is identical and the rear simply went to a true type, they've most likely reinforced the rear shock tower. I did notice the wheelbase is the same. I thought the new Q made the car look shorter end to end than my G.
What interiors do you guys like? the bottom two are the
GRAPHITE SEMI-ANILINE LEATHER INTERIOR / CARBON FIBER TRIM
&
MONACO RED SEMI-ANILINE LEATHER INTERIOR / SILVER OPTIC FIBER respectively
having a carbon fiber interior trim sounds pretty badass. silver optic fiber sounds cool too, but i really dont know what that means. I'd rather Red seats + CF trim
^ I like the first one, I think the silver carbon fiber might look cheap and I'm not a fan of the red seats/door panel. Just make the seats in the first one white, then it's thumbs up.
After having to deal with the stone interior, red or black is the way to go.
All depends where you are in life. No kids anymore, no one ever eats in my car regardless of color interior. No more sloppy winter weather. Here in FL a white vs black seats has it's merits.
I like the red but really dislike the silver trim.
Never had much luck with white interiors so I tend to avoid them at this point.
As a side note, my local dealer called me today to tell me they are expecting their first RS toward the end of Oct. He is supposed to let me know when it comes in.
