I'm with you... To turn anything on / off you have to take your eyes away from the road.
the previous generation had buttons that you could just feel for. And there was not the need for multiple clicks just to get to what you need.
Cars are becoming more tech focused and less driver focused.
i like the tech, but it needs to be user-friendly. thats why im looking forward to Android Auto ...
Saw one on the hwy in Ca a few weeks ago. I didn't know what it was at first because the emblems were covered in tape when it passed.
The person I was with was afraid to take pics so I only got this one. Car looked big, but was nice looking had red interior.
Looks very nice. Thought that I would miss the circle taillights of my g37, but I prefer the new style now. Black looks pretty mean but a pain in the butt to keep clean!
It's actually not a bad deal but with the DCT, it's almost at $60K. Regardless, they seem to have jettisoned the stupid package/options game of years past and most of the good stuff is included (sans backup camera). If you're an manual tranny fan you'll probably be under $55K out the door with no options. It'll be interesting to see how the Q60 compares. I'd gamble it'll be a lot softer round the edges.
I went on BMW and built one, Auto fully loaded is around 57k with Delivery. The manual is about 2k less. Like you mentioned it comes loaded with all the good M stuff. It's a bigger car in person. Plus the 0-60 time at 4.0 seconds, do a little more tuning & you could be high 3's.
Looks like Stillen's 300hp Silver Sport Q50 made 279.59 whp and 274.64 wtq on the dyno, which puts it at around 335-340 crank hp. Not bad at all and it will be interesting to see what they can do with regard to the aftermarket development.
This looks like it's closely in line with the hp of the VQ37, but obviously, the turbo has loads more torque that the VQ didn't have. The VR30 is laying down at the wheels what the VQ had at the crank on the torque.
m2 is seriously a good drivers car it seems. Especially with DCT, however I read that the seating positioning was tilted for some reason and that was a big question mark for me...

The increase in torque is what this car really needed! The RS should be a blast to drive and putting sticker tires on will help put more of that power to the ground!

I think I added a metallic paint and one or two accessory/options to be realistic. I didn't add that tech package with the driver aids. You also have tax and title so realistically, you're over $60K easily by that point. Knowing BMW dealers, they'd probably gouge you on the price due to demand.
As far as modding, BMW will screw you three ways from Sunday (not that Infiniti wouldn't do the same) for any mods. I'll have to take a look at one at the very least, will be interested if the back seat is any larger than the G Coupe and I now hear they may be coming out with a 4-door version.
His review is pretty much consistent with what Infiniti has always been:
Good at most everything but not necessarily the best at one thing. But you get a car that's reliable, with good driving-dynamics, well balanced and usually the most bang for the buck.
went on the Lincoln site to check out the 400hp MKZ, which really improved its looks over the previous "whale-mouth" grilled car. i'm not really interested in a 4-door, but a luxury sedan with 400hp TT V6 and available AWD ~$50k is certainly a direct competitor to the Q50.
the only thing i brought away from the experience is .... GOOD LORD, LINCOLN'S OPTION PACKAGES ARE A CONFUSING PILE OF HORSE S**T!!!!!
i have never seen anything like it - overlapping option packages, requiring this and that to get this .... . i added Navigation in one package, and it was included in several other packages and i, um ... WTF?!?
when i was done (i'm not sure exactly what i had), but it was $56k.
