Ergonomics, aesthetics all matter to me. Making products more comfortable and intuitive is very important. The lack of a physical AC button is neither intuitive nor comfortable; it's a dumb design.
Then by all means don't even consider buying this car because of the lack of a physical A/C button.
Received an email two days ago that the local Infiniti dealership has a new Q60. Dropped by today to look at it and they told me that they damaged the drivers side rocker panel when they were taking it off the truck. The new part is on order, should receive it in 10 days.
So I tested out my normal on/off sequence in the G37 (its so second nature after 8 years that I had to deliberately do it a few times) and I just hit the + button to turn on the fan and AC (if the AC was running before shut down previously). Haven't played with the InTouch system but once you turn on the AC through the touch screen icon, does it remember the selection like the G37 after you shutoff? If it does then all you have to do is hit the fan icon (the increase one) and the AC should turn on? I know it doesn't replace the physical AC button, and in the south there are very few days when I run the fan without the AC on, so I hope it shouldn't require going to the touch screen every time to run the AC
