Q60 Final Teaser - Revealed in Detroit
It's a turbo now so they could increase power much more easily than if it were still naturally aspirated. I hope the Red Sport is not the new IPL. That would be a mistake IMO, if Infiniti truly wants to compete with MB, BMW and Audi they need to take them head on. Only way to do that is with an IPL and it better not only have design elements that are more aggressive but real performance enhancements as well.
I know a lot of Japanese car guys think negatively of German cars because they are not reliable, and they've got a point. So why do they still outsell Japanese cars? Well I've attended quite a few car events where there were mostly German car owners. They too talk about Japanese luxury cars, they think they're slow, boring to drive, and just glorified Toyota's, Nissan's and Honda's. But, you know the one Japanese car that EVERYONE likes? The GT-R, and that's because they respect the car, because it has tons of power, can put that power down, is a blast to drive and has a DCT. If Infiniti wants to be taken seriously, if they want German car owners to make the switch they better stop F'n around and get in the game!

Actually Lexus is or was the #1 selling Luxury brand? Yes some call them over priced Toyotas. I guess the LFA is just a crappy Toyota? Right? LOL!
There are people that knock on the GT-R too... making fun of it, because why would anyone in their right mind spend $100k+ on a Nissan? LOL! Little do they know...
You do realize that Mercedes is just a cheaper Daimler (overseas anyways)
Yeah.. people buy the Benz or beamer here in the States because of so called, LUXURY-bragging factor. Once their warranty comes to an end. Break My Wallet. Most people I know only lease them... Best way with those cars. Much more so than the Infiniti. Yes, the Infiniti's and Toyota's break too.. usually far cheaper to repair.
My coupe isn't slow or boring to drive... it give BMW's a run for their $$. Yes, I know it's not the same luxury status, so it must be bad? LOL!

I've owned both the Rear Drive and AWD coupes (current 2008+ Generation) and there is no awkwardness. Both look good to me. I'm a photographer and have taken pics of both. I believe the AWD is 1/2 an inch higher. Only thing slightly noticeable might be slightly extra gap in the fender with the tire. These cars were designed for AWD, far more drivable esp if bad weather.
Sorry, back on track now.
No it's just that I'm not going to spend time to look up cars to answer your question. The German mfg's have those specific lines for their performance cars; AMG, whether it's an e55 C series, S and so on. Same with the M; M1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Audi, they have an S line, or the S4,5,6, also RS, A series and on. You're essentially eliminating a large group of cars which doesn't make sense. You can ask whatever you want. The 535 or 335, the 650 &'the Alpina, etc are all others you can look at too. German mfg's have a wide range of options compared to the current offering of Japenses cars. The few Japanese cars that are available but haven't been around a while. Toyota/Lexus has really only had the ISF/RCF since 2008, Infiniti has the IPL 2011, Nissan 370Z, & 100k super car GTR, & then you have Subaru & Mitsubishi Lancer. Nothing really for Honda or Acura as far as performance YET. I probably missed some but there is a big difference between these mfg's over the last 15 years.

You summed up what I was thinking, but refused to answer such a vaguely premised question that seemed curated as a troll phishing expedition.
Check out this review, especially what he says at 1m41s into the video about the three (two) engine choices offered. Let the modding begin!

Infiniti has not yet announced official pricing for the new Q60, but when it hits showrooms, expect the Q60 to compete with industry standouts like Audi's A5, BMW's 4-Series, Cadillac's ATS Coupe and Mercedes' C-Class Coupe.
dying to know the length of the car, the wheelbase, track width, weight, 0-60 times, etc. Since this car won't be on sale until late summer we'll probably have to wait months to see the specs!
Where did you get that info? I'm upset they didn't reveal the full tech specs for the car during the reveal.

While the 300 horsepower version is fitted with a single water pump, the 400 horsepower engine uses two water pumps for more effective management of heat when under operating at higher loads. In addition, for the 400 horsepower variant an optical turbo speed sensor gives a 30 percent power boost to the turbo system by allowing the blades to spin faster.
As everyone knows or has tuned before with flash tunes, misfires and spark plugs become an issue. I'm sure when this engine will get tuned it will cause issues one way or the other.
Another thing that will happen is aftermarket upgraded turbos and internals being offered.
I'm excited for the people buying this car but it will have limits, e85, meth and all that will come into play to help the 1/4 times.
Any mention of LSD on this car?

I have been a G owner since 2003. I fell in love with the car at first site and bought one of the first in St. Louis. I then bought the first G37 at my dealer, then I upgraded in 2013 to the AWD. I have no reservation about buying the first model of this new G. Infiniti seems to get things right, and they have extensive experience in building the GTR which they will surely draw upon this time around. I have been waiting for this type of performance from a G car, and my time has come. I can not wait to buy this new car, then get it tuned to the upper 400's or more. It will surely be a beast, and a true competitor to anything the germans are making. Just licking my chops and waiting.
PS It is definitely love at first site again!!

Guys the GTR had issues in the first two years that caused recalls and other **** for the transmission. I know GTR is a great car but there were definitely known issues, they've been fixed since.
Don't complain that its a convertible LoL. Either way, its not very agressive looking to me. As I said, I dont see why people think the new one needs to look more agressive. I agree with you on the overall look of the new coupe being nice. I like it too. I don't see the Accord comparison at all. Maybe if I squint? LoL IDK. I also agree with you on the side rear window...a little drastic and distracting for me as well. As far as the "Audi" led's, it became an industry standard. It might seem like a minor thing but that is all it takes to make an impact sometimes. If Infiniti had come out with that tech first then everyone call em Infiniti LED's but they werent first. Its like BMW with halo's too
