Public Debate - To wrap or not to wrap ( stupid or not stupid)?

Hey fellow G 37 owners. So just recently, I bought some vinyl and wanted to do something with it with my diffuser. I was then told by my friend that wrapping a diffuser is the stupidest idea there is. And I did not know why.

I know some g's have their diffusers plastidipped, or like cF wrapped but I dont see that there is anything wrong with it. IMO it looks nice. Why spend 300+ $ on a diffuser when for now you can just wrap it for 90$. Just to maintain the look for now. Poor mods, we all gotta start somewhere.

I would like to know what are your thoughts of wrapping a diffuser or even anywhere on the car with 3m vinyl CF wrap. Stupid useless like my friend said, or its fine.

Would like to know what the G37 public has their opinions on this thanks !!!

How about you decide if you like it or not for your car and act accordingly rathe than solicit other people to tell you what you should or shouldn't like?

Very well put Jeremy
But if OP's on the fence a little persuasion either way might be the kicker he needs

the way i look at it, is that people buy diffusers because they look different, usually with fins or other things. But wrapping is a very easy and cheap alternative.. i dont see a problem with it

The best thing about it (other than it's cheap & fairly easy to install) is that it breaks up that big area of solid color on the tail and gives a nice contrast. Luckily our Gs have decent recesses so you can clearly define the valance area of the bumper.

As far as the haters, haven't really heard any hatin' for valance wraps, heard plenty for a lot of other things but not that one.
