removing suction pad

Do you guys know of a way to safely remove those adhesive suctions pads that are used to mount GPS systems. I do know if I should use a glue solvent because it can damage the surface.

Let me know if you guys know of a way, thanks.

Very funny. It tends to work well melting different types of adhesives. Give it a try. Apply and rub it with a cloth or your finger and it may melt the glue so it can be rubbed away.

FYI .... use a GPS bean bag in the future, they work great and no permanent issues to deal with.

This turns out worked well. I slowly peeled and sprayed alcohol in between the dash and the adhesive and it came off smoothly.
