Auto-unlock setting: can this only be enabled\disabled?

The doors unlock when the engine is shut off...According to the owners manual this can be enabled or disabled but I'd like to set it to unlock when the transmission is in Park. Is this even possible?

Forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere, but I seem to be forum and owners manual search-challenged on this topic

I want my doors to lock automatically after I start driving. I tried looking in the owner's manual for this setting and was not able to find it...I'm sure I probably missed it . Could anybody provide the section or page number this setting is under? For ref my car is a 08 G37s coupe. Thanks in advance.

Our cars do not have that feature. But KP Technologies does sell a module that will do it for you.

Per the 2009 manual on page 137 (section 3-6)....
AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS
● All doors will be locked automatically when
the vehicle speed reaches 15 MPH (24 km/h).
● All the doors will unlock automatically when
the ignition is placed in the OFF position.

Also on this page are instructions for enabling\disabling....

The automatic lock and unlock functions can be
deactivated or activated independently of each
other. To deactivate or activate the automatic
door lock or unlock system, perform the following
procedure:
1. Close all doors.
2. Place the ignition switch in the ON
position.
3. Do one of the following within 20 seconds
of performing step 2:
● To change AUTO UNLOCK settings: push
and hold the power door lock switch to
the UNLOCK position for more than
5 seconds.
● To change AUTO LOCK settings: push and
hold the power door lock switch to the
LOCK position for more than 5
seconds.
4. When activated, the hazard indicator will
flash twice. When deactivated, the hazard
indicator will flash once.
5. The ignition must be placed in the OFF and
ON position again between each setting
change.

Section 3-6 in my 2008 owners manual doesn't say that. i think this is only for the 2009+ models..

the auto-lock unlock feature is annoying... lets say you see someone riding they're bicycle down the road and you wanna open your door while driving and hit them if its auto-lock it makes it so much harder to do that

like this guy..
