G37 G35 all Infinitis being broken in too NJ

So they broke into my G37 this past Tuesday. Just like a previous post I saw.
They stole my IPOD, Garmin GPS, Diesel Jeans and other stuff.

The thieves pop open the cap over the lock on the door handle and punch a hole through some sensor ( I believe) which automatically lowers the windows. And my door also will not open. The police told me they get into the car in a matter of seconds. THIS HAS TO BE ADDRESSED BY INFINITI. 5 infinitis 37s and 35s were broken into that afternoon. This happened at my job in Parsippany NJ. The police told me that its always the infinitis lately.

Im contemplating leaving my doors open.

Last point they also go through the car manual looking for the key code on the extra key that allows them to make keys. So they can come back and steal the car.

Pardon my grammar. I have about 1 hour of sleep and I'm not in a mood to proofread this.

This sucks and I think Infiniti should be proactive about this issue and the cops say that this breakin will become more popular in the coming months. I called the Dealer and they played stupid, like they never heard of this.

Be careful guys

Now all the thieves know how to break in.

That sucks though... This is why I lock everything up in my glove compartment. Maybe that wouldn't have made a difference, but maybe it would.

Why is this Infiniti's problem?

Infiniti now has an impact sensor accessory plug-in for the stock security system. You could have bought that and added an interior motion sensor for less than the cost of the IPOD, Garmin and Diesel jeans, or, most likely, less than the cost of your comprehensive deductible.

Its infinitis problem because that sensor should be reinforced or made not to lower the windows automatically. Its obviously a problem if they can get in a car in seconds with out drawing suspension. Yes they can throw a brick through a windows but that is pretty noticeable. These breakins happened in broad daylight and very quickly

That thing - whatever you're talking about - should have come included with the car, not as an "optional" accessory. This is ridiculous, and yes it's Infiniti's fault similar to the Mazda3 case where the door just unlocks easily via a little trick.

so basic security features should be options that need to be purchased? I respectfully disagree with you on this.

I work off Cherry Hill Rd. The police in town told me they are hitting all different corporate parks near highways so they can make a quick getaway.

As A consumer I wish I was notified about this problem and that option giving to me by the salesperson. The true problem here is that Infiniti knows this is an issue and will never recall the cars to fix it because its not a safety issue.

i owned an 03 nissan maxima whic came standard with HID lights. Due to a poor design by Nissan, the housings could literally be pried out in less than 30 seconds. Anyone who owned an 02/03 Maxima in the Northeast knows what I am talking about. People were getting their lights stolen 3-4 times by thieves going after the HID bulbs and ballasts. It go so bad the state of NJ sued Nissan over this which I don't think got anywhere. They finally provided owners with reinforced metal brackets which were installed for free. For the most part, this recall reduced the number of thefts significantly. Hopefully if this does become a widespread problem, they will step up to the plate again to address it.

SOB......now I want to head over to Infiniti and grab one of those impact sensors. I'm here in LA and it's only a matter of time before I start leaving my car at the train station to come into work. There's no checking on it then. I'm sure replacing the key hole with the passenger cover doesn't prevent this does it?
