G37 G35 all Infinitis being broken in too NJ
obviously it is just a sensor on the door. Could you not just look at the electrical diagram in the manual, and find out where it plugs in, and unplug it at the easiest point? problem solved?
i know it sucks, but it can't be the hardest thing to fix, unless it is only module to control the windows up and down, as well as the key lock (which i doubt)
am i crazy here?

if he can't get in the first time, its better than leaving the door open for him
flip side is he is going to do the damage anyways, so you might as well just let the ****er in.
found what the key barrel controls
Power window main switch connector power connector D8 - on terminal 6 and 7
ill look to see if the door needs to be taken apart

One question that nobody asked so far is that Why the alarm system won't disable this "window roll down feature" when it's activated? Personally I think it shouldn't function when the car is locked and alarm is on. If somebody already brought this up earlier, except my apologizes...
from the owner's manual
Thanks for the post on possible theft.
Probably should put a fake Ipod on the roof (oh, gosh, i forgot!)...with an alarm attached!
I wonder if a car cover is the way to go...messy in bad weather?
Put it in a garbage bag if too wet/messed up to put in raw in the trunk?
p2-27: "Your vehicle has two types of security systems, as follows:
-Vehicle security system -INFINITI Vehicle Immobilizer System,
The security condition will be shown by the security indicator light.
The vehicle security system provides visual and audio alarm signals
if someone opens the doors, hood, or trunk lid when the system is
armed. It is not, however, a motion detection
type system that activates when a vehicle is
moved or when a vibration occurs.
The system helps deter vehicle theft but cannot
prevent it, nor can it prevent the theft of interior
or exterior vehicle components in all situations.
Always secure your vehicle even if parking for a
brief period. Never leave your Intelligent Key(s)
in the vehicle, and always lock it when unattended.
Be aware of your surroundings, and
park in secure, well-lit areas whenever possible.
Many devices offering additional protection,
such as component locks, identification markers,
and tracking systems, are available at auto
supply stores and specialty shops. Your INFINITI
dealer may also offer such equipment. Check
with your insurance company to see if you may
be eligible for discounts for various theft protection
features."

Ok this thread got no where! This Auto Window Down feature is in most new cars. I have a 03 Accord. and it does the same thing via the Key Remote! But the Big DIffrence between the Honda Style and Infiniti Stupid bright Idea, was when you use the Key in the keyhole, Infiniti's desgn makes it so you can roll the WIndows up, and Down! That is a big Mistake on Infiniti's design!
Unlike my Honda where you use the key in the key hole to Roll the Windows back up. Not down. SO thats why THieves are Hittiing Infiniti's, They just punch the Heyhole with a Screwdriver, and turn, then Viola, Windows roll down and Jack all your Crap from your car! Stupid Infinit Design! I took out the Key hole Cylinder completey out of the door, and put on the passenger Key hole cover. That was great, but had to put it back in, for fear of battery dying, and I would have no way to get into my G. LOL.
Now we need to find a way to diasable this feature. I know the 1st gen guy's did it but disconnecting the Rod. but that does not work for the 2nd Gen G's. as the one Rod in there, works the Lock and is tied to the Windows Feature. Goota be some Wire somewhere that we can disconnect this feature that i do not even use.?? In the meantime I put in a top Doallar paging Clifford alrm on my G just for a little better Insurance. Lets get brainstorming!!

This was a hot subject a year ago. This has been an issue for many years with the Nissan/Infiniti product lines. Here is a link on G35driver for a quick fix. Only problem it doesn't keep the thief from attempting and causing damage anyway. We need someone to make a sticker indicating the door has been modified but that would **** off the thief and would key the car etc. causing more damage.

I appreciate all the comments and the posts that are trying to find a fix for this. Especially since Infiniti is no help.
I have a 2008 g37 and already been thinking of getting a new one in a couple years.. Now with this bull$h1t not to sure

So they broke into my G37 this past Tuesday. Just like a previous post I saw.
They stole my IPOD, Garmin GPS, Diesel Jeans and other stuff.
The thieves pop open the cap over the lock on the door handle and punch a hole through some sensor ( I believe) which automatically lowers the windows. And my door also will not open. The police told me they get into the car in a matter of seconds. THIS HAS TO BE ADDRESSED BY INFINITI. 5 infinitis 37s and 35s were broken into that afternoon. This happened at my job in Parsippany NJ. The police told me that its always the infinitis lately.
Im contemplating leaving my doors open.
Last point they also go through the car manual looking for the key code on the extra key that allows them to make keys. So they can come back and steal the car.
Pardon my grammar. I have about 1 hour of sleep and I'm not in a mood to proofread this.
This sucks and I think Infiniti should be proactive about this issue and the cops say that this breakin will become more popular in the coming months. I called the Dealer and they played stupid, like they never heard of this.
Be careful guys

Sorry about this happening to you, but this is not Infiniti's problem.
