just saw this post, http://www.nissan-global.com/EN/TECH...WAS/index.html

give me a break!! did anybody watch that video?? pretty funny how the car with no 4was took the test at a higher speed, and took a wider and harder turn putting a ton more centrifugal force making the back swerve out slightly!!! then even jerked the wheels more to straighten out, making the car appear even more wobbly.. they could not have made that any more obvious. i am sure the 4was helps somewhat, but come on give us a break that was ridiculous!

show me the car doing that move, without the 4was, trying to sell the car, and i am sure it will make that move WITHOUT that little swerve.

Yes I'm sure they exaggerated a bit for the video. If I assume correctly, you're not that big a fan of AWAS. I too am not a big fan of it which is why I specifically requested a model without one. The Nissan video was probably just done that way for illustrative purposes. I think it would actually help for high speed cornering, but it does add weight. That's the main reason I didn't want it. Our cars a cows without any options so adding more weight was not what I wanted to do.

The one thing I have to wonder is, if this is intended to help with taking turns quickly, how would a professional driver used to a standard RWD handle it on a track? I mean sometimes you're supposed to break the back end loose and power it through a turn. AWAS would completely change that dynamic.
