Roof problems
Just to let you know I've searched everywhere looking for answers including the FSB Manual. GFs car...2011 Infinity G37 Hardtop Convertible. Top is stuck halfway down. And will only go up after shutting the engine off restarting and then roof will close but never goes all the way down. I have done a Battery relearn with no success. Car was taken in for a dealer Roof relearn approx one year ago.Codes are B1763-64, B1719-15, B173E-92, B1762-64. All pertaining to Hydraulic state and Roof status Sensor. In the Manual it leads me to description,Diagnosis etc. and shows where the Sensor is. But when I follow the Manual for removal and install i can't find a thing on it. I admit i'm new to this platform but i seem to be missing something here. I would like to take a shot at replacing the Roof Status Sensor before having to give it to the dealer. So has anyone any info, links or helpful info on where I can find out how to re and re this Roof status Sensor? Thank you in advance and apologise for any errors in posting. Thx, Daryl

Daryl, Hopefully your FSM shows this picture on location of the sensor.
Roof state sensor
This looks to me to be the roof linkage on the drivers side. The roundish head just forward from the highlighted part is the forward portion of the roof main lift cylinder. I recall seeing this during my recent cylinder replacement project. All of these components are held in place by pins with 'E' clips on one side. I suspect this one is as well.
However, to expose the mechanical parts of the roof linkage, you will need to remove the drivers side rear seat panel. I suppose it may be able to be done without removing the seats - however, I took out the back seat (bottom and back) to avoid damaging the panel due to the tight quarters(note that there are two plastic rivets, one is hiding a 10mm bolt so be careful with your panel tool) . This panel also covers and protects the Roof Control Module. And, from the photo from a following post, it looks like that lead connector may plug directly into the RCM. This is annoying but achievable - I followed Klaus' videos on www.tophydraulics.com on the disassembly procedure.
I am in the re-learn portion of my project and the techs at Infiniti are unable to sense the motor functioning. I was able to power-probe the motor and it spins - so I need to look elsewhere and this sensor may be a contributor to my pain. If anyone has other thoughts - please share. I will update this thread with results.
