I have a 2011 g37s , fairly modified and used alot on track etc . I know i shouldnt as such an expensive car but is used for drifting a fair amount with a welded diff and set up . Yes is possible with a 7AT especially with no traction , esp, vdc etc etc but one annoying thing is when it is in DS and using the paddles if the car touches the redline for more than a couple seconds it will change up for me.. Is there anyway into getting the ECU tweaked to stop this ? Cheers

 

if your in manual mode the car WILL not shift for you, You will be in 100% control of upshifts. it will down shift but you would have to be so far below the RPM for that gear that you legit forgot to down shift. I drive in manual 100% of the time.
