Engine/Transmission Issue
Engine/Transmission Issue
Hello All,
I am writing today as a last resort with two issues that I am asking help or advice for...
ISSUE 1: So. Today, I started up my car, went to work, everything was fine! Then, the boss told me I had to move the car because there was maintenance being done to the lot I was in.
So, I went back to my car to move it. I got in, pressed the brake, pushed the ignition and the car started, yet it was not a smooth start. Instead, it almost stalled on me. The RPM meter almost hit 0, but then it shot back up.
I found this to be weird, so I let it run for about a minute and shut it off. I then waited for about another minute or so and this time, it did stall... I was not too happy with this and I still am not.
I tried again and it started right back up? I find this to be an issue that can only get worse. Keep in mind, my G only has 28,000 on it.
What could this be?
ISSUE 2:
Since my car was purchased, I have been having some issued with the transmission/engine. I will try to sum up these issues as simple as possible.
When driving, even in manual mode, the car seems to miss/skip and RPM point. If I am at a steady acceleration, while I am in 3rd or 4th gear, the RPM seems to either miss or skip a spot. When passing the 2500 point on the gauge, the engine seems to dim down... I have no idea what this is?
Also, I have been having trouble with the car shifting too early. When I am driving, the car seems to shift way to early, causing my next gear to start really low, around 1000 or so. I have taken to the dealership 3 times before for this issue. Every time I drop the car off, and they find nothing. I've already had the car flashed once....I have been recommended a grounding kit before, But I am not sure if this would help an automatic car.
If anyone has had similar issues in a 2010 G37x please let me know. I have a Takeda intake sitting in my garage, waiting for spring to put in, and I dont want to put this on my car for the dealership to wuestion me if that could be the problem or not...
To anyone who replies to this, you're awesome. Sorry for such a long post.
