Yes, he actually proved it by showing the teeth count on the gearing itself.

However, his was specific to the UAE market and there are other differences on his car out of the gate (setup for a warmer climate, etc etc). Infiniti actually spec'd a different, finned bottom diff housing for UAE bound cars (not just a Nismo finned cover). There are a few other oem mod's that came on his car too that never showed up as even options for JDM and USDM g37's.

I also did the tire spin and count rotations test like kdawg mentioned a few posts back. Definitely 3.69 (but my donor car was a 2007 g35 sport...and all sport models were equipped with 3.69's that year... which also makes for the cheapest donor option because there is no 'g37' label attached to them).

There is no power past 7500. I drag race a lot so the higher rev limit lets me shift at 7500 without hitting the rev limiter due to the auto's delay shifting.

My latest dyno from last week

im not sure why you would think first gear would be useless..
i love my 4.08 gears! the jump you get when you hit the gas and the car just takes off!

if i get a chance this week ill try and get some videos up ..
no way i would rev that high that's asking for trouble i set my rev limiter to 200 higher than stock.. you're not making power that high up in the RPM range no point in revving that high

Useless meaning is it too short now with the 4.08? Of course not everyday driving I mean from a stop will you just roast the tires now when at WOT. 1st gear is short already on 7AT it's 4.92.

I'm not at that rpm long anyway or do it everyday I don't road race. I have a 35 also and with the kinetix my power held to 7500. Now that I have the Z1 manifold I thought it would carry it further, but after last weeks dyno that is not the case.

13.7 with only the 3.7FD and raised rev limit.

Waiting until Oct when it cools down to run again since I'm modded and tuned now. My goal is 12's NA for my G37 and G35 and 11's with my TT G35x sedan. I was close last yr with my G35 went 13.13@101 1.814 60ft on street tires.

I can roast the tires from a stop if I floor it..but having the gears for almost 2 years now I know how to launch the car from a stop and not roast them.

I switch out my VQ35hr plenum back to the g37 plenum I did about 6 hours worth of porting on..im hoping that I get a chance to compare the stock plenum to my ported plenum when I switch over to ECUTEK here in October.

i'm hoping i can gain 10+ whp with the ported plenum and ECUTEK switch over

Would porting the M370 give you more topend along with the extra midrange? I have the Z1 and was thinking about getting a M370 and porting it, but it might be a waste of time and money.

From what I had read from the 350z forums they were getting a average of 5hp with the ported vq35hr plenum.. now I have that vq35hr plenum at home that I did port along side the stock g37..
my butt dyno tells me that the stock ported plenum makes more power up top then the ported vq35hr does..but until its dyno tested who knows..
I could take all 3 plenums to the dyno and dyno test all 3 same day if my tuner's dyno isn't booked for 3 hours..

when i'm down in California in October i'm going to try and get the stock g37 plenum dyno'd against my ported g37 plenum if Seb from Specialty Z has the time for me to do both.

Well my ecutek tune has been confirmed for next sat the 15th. John Visconti will be doing the tune himself.

Car will do 3 pulls on my uprev protune, remove uprev (I have a tuner cable), retune with ecutek and let the numbers speak for themselves for a same day, same dyno comparison of both software.

If I can pull 10+ over the protune I got last week I will be happy and feel that the switch was worth it (hopefully).
