anyone put 6mt 3.69 gears in 7at

hi all i have a automatic vlsd sedan. seen buncha people puttin 4.10 gears into there 7at. i dont want to go too aggressive so i was wondering if i could put just the g37 6mt differential into my auto its about 3.69 gear ratio. found some used going for about 500 bucks on ebay.

I'm doing the same thing soon and from what I found here and the z sites I just need the 6mt driveshaft rear half. I'm also going with the whiteline bushings. I've been holding out on the "buy it now" button because I was looking for the "Unicorn" 6mt "vert" sport pumpkin withe the 3.9 fd. Probably ain't happening good luck with yours.

That makes the fact I gave up hope comforting. I can always swap in a 4.08 fd if I'm not happy with the 3.69 fd. Thanks for that info.

Are you going to leave it alone or go 4.08/3.9 ? I'm still contemplating having gears installed.

I am going to install it as the 3.69 for now, and see how that does.

I've purchased a 6 sd mt vlsd 3.692 pumpkin and will be installing it as soon as I have time. swapping out the yoke for my pumpkin should be easy. poly bushings going in too. will update when this happens. anyone know if the speedo needs to be recalibrated?

Don't know for sure but I don't think so . I'm probably a month out from install because I'll be out of country for a couple weeks. Question is are we all reporting back to this thread or will a new one be made to combine our experiences?
