I was TT at the time. Lots of torque if really pressed. Still it was notable even without boost. OEM VQ37VHR's have lots of torque. That's why it's a good engine.

You will lose cruise control..uprev fixes this issue.. Don't know if ecutek will fix it since don't know anyone running it with a gear swap

Well, I might be the first. I'm running an ecutek tune, I'll ask seb if he can tap into the cc tables and fix the no cc issue. Would be cool if it was adjustable and restore cc capabilities with a gear swap.

So I got the diff installed today. I still have my cc without any adjustments to my ecutek map. For the record I do not have icc so that might have something to do with it. Just an update for coop, we performed the flange swap and I am not experiencing any vibration or problems at any speed at any rpm. Full throttle or not it is smooth as butter. I have a feeling that the flange swap is OK for us na guys but when boost is involved it changes the game. Just wanted to offer my impression of what I'm experiencing and I hope this helps others out who have questions about this swap. By the way, 3.90's on a 7at are the @#*t!!!loving it;-)

Congrats man! For grins I tried my cruise and it worked also. I also had my P0500 sensor code turned offpermanently. My 285 35 19's go on tomorrow.

Thanks! I haven't had a p0500 yet, keeping my fingers crossed. 19's and some wider rubber are next on my list too. I'm going to run some g35 rays I picked up, can't wait! 285/35, nice!

Im very interested in how this works out. Do you have anything to compare the new gears with? Maybe a before quarter mile time?

No quarter mile times, probably never will track the car. It may or may not improve quarter times but for everyday driving the car is way quicker, much more usable torque and it gets into the powerband earlier. So far, everything is holding up fine with no issues.

^^^ what he said. After installing gears realize it's a no brainer as far as performance is concerned.

Lol ok. Im more worried about cruise control, check engines, and other problems that may arise. If there was a shop in my island that did that kind of gear swaps regularly, I would have done it by now.

I also have the get new tires ASAP, so I'm trying to do a wheel mod first

If you have the intelligent cruise on your car I'm almost positive you will lose your cruise. I tested the cruise today and it still works fine with no p0500 code. Don't even bother with a gear swap, just buy a new pumpkin that is ready for install and swap the flanges, easy peasy.

you lose cruise either way it doesn't matter.. you need to turn off a code in the tune to make sure that it works.

^^ thankfully I still do not have any p0500 code or cruise control problems. I'm not sure if it's absolutely positive he will lose the cruise, just basing of what my car has done. I had no map adjustment done in ecutek either. Any theories on why my car hasn't lost cruise?

I still have cruise as well, but my P0500 didn't come on till day two, during a particularly spirited run. Removed code. I'm guessing since a lot of the Z guys got it also it may be rpm ( and duration) induced.
