If I'm not mistaken, I believe a 6mt pumpkin is required to house the 3.9 gear upgrade from say conceptz.. But perhaps that only applies to the 4.08 swap, I think it says on their website..

If only more 6mt convertible sport models were sold and salvaged diffs were available considering they have 3.9 gears from the factory.. Practically unicorn status when they do pop up.

I did 3.3 >3.69 w a '11 7at recently and it's noticeable to me. I also put whiteline bushings in.. With fluid and the diff and bushings, all said and done for $ 450.. I'm extremely pleased for the bang for the buck. It's how the car should have come.. I do have some heavy cv1 20s on my car and fat tires. (295/30 255/35). Of course I crave 3.9 now! it would be worth visiting a tuner if a code might happen to be thrown imo if did go 3.9 in the future. Much rather that than a CAI or a motordyne manifold.. *Add whatever bolt on here* to be honest.

Didn't G37sam suspect that his 08 pumpkin was actually 3.36? I know I read that here. I definately had uprev logged 0-60 improvement, along with shifting and top speed diferences. Notable diferences too.

You WILL need a Mt pumpkin for any gear swaps, the 3.3 housing is too small to fit any other gearsets. either find a sport vert manual diff, or get a 3.69 Mt diff and replace with 3.9 gearset.

any body have any vids of the 3.9 or 4.08 in action on a 7at. The guys with the gears does it make 1st gear almost useless because its even shorter now? I have the 3.7 on my 37 now.

I'll have a 0-140 up later.

Mods

Beluga resonated test pipes
Beluga CBE
AAM CAI
Z1 manifold
3.7FD
