Took the car out for a shakedown run before putting the front clip back on. Engine runs beautiful, sounds awesome like it wants to go. Went to the local gas station to fill up on 94 octane. Lots of looks with the twin intercoolers hanging out. I also invested in some waterproof K&N filter covers just for insurance. Taking it easy for the first little while and want to be sure everything is good before ramping it up a bit.

CG's on the successful install Every time I come home from out of town, I take mine out and drive the **** out of her. This kit really comes alive after 5krpm. Did GTM send you a canned tune? Are you taking it somewhere to have it done? I'm interested to hear what yours puts down.

Yes I am using the tune that GTM sent. I did some data logging and sent the info back to GTM and awaiting an update. Car runs great but will take it easy for now. Weather here is not good so will wait till spring for any tuning.

Oh man, the symmetry in this engine build *really* appeals to my inner OCD monsters.

Including the VB upgrade and SC kit and all the little extras close to $14,000. It was a lot of fun installing the kit and was quite the learning curve but GTM helped out with any questions. About 400 miles on so far and the car drives fantastic. Still keeping it easy not going past 5000 RPM at about 6psi boost. No issues so far. Power comes on smooth and predictable. Took it to the local Infiniti dealer to get the A/C recharged and all the techs drooled over the install. Congrats to GTM for putting together an amazing product. Looks and runs great. Later on when the weather warms up going for some dyno time and our local 1/4 mile track to see how thing go.

Terrific article! Great writeup can't wait to hear more once you take it to the track and hopefully a 5000 mile review

Just an update on the GTM 2SC kit. So far 1100 miles and everything is good. Car runs sounds and feels great. I just love the sound of the whistling twins. I wanted to put a few miles on the car before doing anything else. I have not revved the engine over 5500 rpm and 6psi boost keeping everything safe. On March 17th I went to a dyno shop that had an AWD Mustang Dyno for a little test and tune. The guys at the shop were impressed with the workmanship of the GTM kit and the power it made on the first pull. Also they said the GTM tune was real good. Tuning was done on 94octane
Fist full pull the car revved up to 5400rpm and the SC belts started slipping @8psi so the run was aborted. 301T / 341AWHP@8psi 5400rpm. I guess I didn’t tighten the belts enough. After fixing that we went on to the next full pull. 5.2psi@3900 / 7.3psi@4700 / 9.6psi@5400 and at 12psi@6200 we aborted the run too much boost and detonation. The J&S knock controller was taking out a truckload of timing during that run so HP and torque wasn’t much better and I can’t imagine what the boost would have been at 7600 redline. BOOM!!! Anyways that was the end of the dyno time. I have the 88mm pulleys installed and obviously they are too small. You know the saying “some is good more is better” is not true for a stock motor for the street. That being the case I am switching them out for the 92mm pulleys so that I can at least run the car up to 7600 redline. The 92mm pulleys seem to be the right size for the street on a stock engine. Also installing a relay to the fuel pump so that the pump will see full 14 volts will be a good addition.
Stay tuned!!

Thought I would post a quick video on the initial dyno run with the 88mm pulleys. If you look closely you can see the boost going to 12.9 @ 6422rpm and the run is aborted.

Just received the 92mm pulleys!! After I swap out the 88mm then off to the dyno to try again.
