Weird whining noise.

Hey Guys, My G has a weird whining noise that sounds like it's coming from underneath the car. It's pretty loud on idle and you can also hear it in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears when accelerating and driving. It's pretty bad. It goes away if you press down the clutch but comes back in if you release the clutch. I didn't want the dealer to take my whole car apart and then tell me they don't know what's wrong with it so i figured I'd ask you guys first. Is this fixable? I have a 08 6spd coupe with 21k miles if that matters. I took a video of how it sounds so you can see what I'm talking about. Here is a link to my video on youtube :

You have a bad bearing(s) in your transmission. Very obvious.

I had the same noise. Took it to the dealer and they found metal in the transmission fluid. They replaced my transmission under warranty. The noise is pretty much gone, you have to really listen to for it and it could be my imagination. So, take it to the dealer.

Edit: your car sounds worst. Take it to the dealer before you get stranded.

^+1. very obvious bearing issue. You will have no problem getting a warranty replacement.

Will they give me trouble about my stillen gen 3 intake and y-pipe. Can they void the warranty because of that. Should I take the parts off before I bring it in to the dealer?

I would put the stock parts on as a precaution because I had a salesman tell me that if I brought my car in with aftermarket parts it would void my warranty but I've heard other guys take there's in with no problems

those aftermarket parts will not void the warranty for a gearbox issue. only if the parts could negatively affect the defective part could they void it. i.e. if you had installed lowering springs and were claiming an issue with your shocks, they would likely not cover it.

there are plenty of threads on here about warranty concerns. and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975 is very clear about this.

you will be fine.
