Lane departure warning system?

I just traded my 04 G coupe for an 08 G37S 6MT. Does the G37 tell you when you're changing lanes without signaling? I think Infiniti calls it a lane departure warning system. I found "Lane Guidance" under the nav package which I have...is this it?

Thanks

No it doesn't. Lane guidance in the nav just tells you which lanes to be in.

My mother has it on her M35s, it's not perfect. If you aren't familiar with it, it's a series of beeps that play when your car changes lanes without signaling, however sometimes, for whatever reason, it will either beep when you are still in a lane (perhaps there were old lines on the road) or not beep when you do change lanes without signaling. In any event, if you wanted to rely on it to wake you up if you were falling asleep and drifting, it isn't loud enough to wake most people up.

Ah, right, forgot about the new improvements they made. I believe the brake application is only when something is detected in your blind spot though, right? And is applied regardless of signaling or not if I remember correctly.

Our 06 FX35 has the lane departure warning system. it can be pretty annoying so i usually just turn it off. there will be times it beeps out of nowhere and sometimes it doesn't beep at all. also together with laser cruise control if its raining, its useless.

BMW is the only car that I have seen get the lane departure warning system right... my dad has a 650i convertible and if you try to change lanes without having your signal on, the steering wheel starts to vibrate... nothing overly jarring, just enough to get your attention...

in the M if you drift over to one side and there is a car there it will give you an audible and visual alert and turn the wheel for you so you dont hit them.

I thought it tapped your brakes on one side to bring you back into your lane, not turn your wheel.

It is supposedly very light braking that can easily be overridden if needed, however it is significant enough to return you to your lane if you are about to collide with an object detected in your blind spot.
