Rough downshift to 1st

Sometimes when I decelerate quickly I get a thud noise whenever it goes into 1st almost like a clunk. the car has 9k miles on it approaching 10k and I am wondering if the tsb out for the 7AT trans could fix the problem. Also I have a 4.08 final drive gear installed + quafie limited slip dif, I am hoping they wont hassle me and give me problems because of these mods.

Mine does that too, but not every time. I'm still holding out on the new tsb on it, but really want to get it fixed. I could have sworn I blew my trans the first time it happened.

As far as your mods go, it shouldn't affect your transmission, but they might try to give you some trouble. It all depends on the dealer.

Chances are pretty good they won't even notice your mods unless they decide the tranny has to be replaced... and they still probably won't notice. Most mechanics wouldn't even notice the rpm difference while driving.

The only way im in first gear is if im taking off. I have never used first gear as a gear to help me slow down. Makes me think im reading the thread wrong. My transmission is holding up just fine without a hicup and my car is pushing more than 500 to the wheels. Alot of power on the transmission.

Kosstick has an auto, you have a manual. The 7AT will shift into 1st at a slow roll.

This when it comes to a stop it will shift to 1st and a clunk will come it looks like my car is the perfect candidate for the tsb just hope my car doesn't change the way it is..

I'm gonna take my car in for the leather bubbles on the driver seat around the end of the month. I might as well ask about this when I go in. I'll let you know if they do the tsb and if it helps at all.
