If there are any G25 owners with the latest re-program, please post and let us know if it works.
Maul, who is your dealer?

I didn't even have to ask and my advisor said he would look for the newest update...I'll see what he comes up with later.
I can't imagine how bad the '10 or '09 is before the update. My '11 7AT is such an unrefined jerky unresponsive POS, it's hard to believe really.

Yeah, mine gradually got worse over time and then lately got really bad...and now it is really noticeable after driving the 2011.

The best thing I did was install the paddle shifters. Whenever I get angry at the trans I just force it into gear. Doesn't do much for lag.

I also drove a 2012 loaner (< 1k miles) which felt much more spirited than my 2009 G37. My 2009 felt dead compared to the 2012.

Looking forward to an update this summer!

I periodically keep checking this forum, looking for the "magic pill" to cure the ills of the 7 AT. The magic pill was rumored to be coming out This Summer. In the form of a new Reflash, the magic pill has not been prescribed yet.

If it doesn't come out soon, maybe there will be a "poison Pill" to put it out of its and my misery.....

PS: No budging from IFA or my Dealer on lease surrender W/O Cost. The Car is working as designed.....Too Bad Infiniti: No More Infiniti's for me unless there is absolute proof that the ills are Gone !!

Same here... BUT I found out if I knock it down to 3rd before turning or doing anything that might need a quick response, I can now avoid the lag altogether. It's the 4-to-3 downshift between 20-25 mph where the lag normally occurs for me.

They just reflashed the G25s, so we should be next.
So, I think we're going to get our magic pill.

I had to take my G37 back this morning for a follow up on something else.
They re-checked today to see if anything came out yet for a computer update and guess what...

5/15/12 ITB12-027 was released for 2010 and 2011 G37s. My car now has this update and I'm off to pick up my car.
He stated it was for the harsh downshifting when coming to a stop and some other stuff. Maybe you guys can pull the exact thing this fixes from somewhere and post.

My dealer was nice enough to give me a copy of the bulletin. I won't photocopy it, but I will type most of it out.

2010-2011 G37 shift responsiveness issues.
ITB12-027 Released: 5/15/12
Engine VQ37VHR
2010-2011 G37 (V36/CV36)
7 speed tranny.

If you confirm one or more conditions.

1. Harsher than expected down shifts when coasting to a stop.
2. Hesitaion/lag when accelerating after coasting
3. Hesitation/lag or harsher than expected down shifts when coming to a stop and accelerating again (rolling stop).
4. Engine rev matching during moderate to heavy braking.
NOTE: This is normal ASC, adaptive shift control, operation that can be removed from the normal drive mode, but will remain in sport mode.

Action:
If this applies, reprogram the ECM and TCM

This looks like I only have page 1 of 10 so I don't know any more info than this.

I just found this same info on www.infiniti-techinfo.com

I experience all 4 of those symptoms pretty much every drive.

So.... I'm starting to get excited about this. If it drives like the 2012, it will be a big improvement.

That "NOTE" text is interesting, because Im pretty sure people have had these symptoms in Sport mode as well.....not just straight D.

Im hopeful.......at least it shows Infiniti is looking at it. I wonder if this means they plan on keeping the 7AT in the next generation as well.

I think Ill wait a month or so before starting to hint at my dealer that I need the update.
