G37 7speed transmission reprogram
Maze,
I brought the print out from Infiniti's TSB site. Choose Model, Year, and Keyword: Lag:
Infiniti Publications
The ITB12-027 PDF is attached.
It says the update is for 2010-2011. That's why you must bring the Service Bulletin as well.

He further explained that their first priority is to keep the customer happy and that they would have no problem doing the update IF their system would indicate that one was available that was a higher revision than what I have. He said they would get paid by Infiniti so that's not an issue.
Told me to come by the next time I'm in town (about 90 miles away) and they would have the shop foreman check it for me to see if perhaps there was anything that had been missed.
Now I'm really going to be frustrated if the other dealer next week doesn't find an update either.
2009 G37x here, with TSB 10-075a already applied several months ago.
Went in for routine service last week and mentioned harsh downshifts and lag. Service advisor shows me a copy of 12-027, and says they will apply it. When picking up the car, a service tech tells me that 12-027 is basically the same as 10-075, the only difference being the vehicle years covered. According to them my car does not qualify for the new TSB.
So I check with Infiniti Customer Service, and after a few days they come back and tell me the same thing: the only difference between 10-075 and 12-027 are the years covered. Here's the thing...customer service is getting their info from my dealer. I asked if they could check with Infiniti engineering to independently verify this info, but they said they could not. BTW both customer service and my dealer have been very courteous throughout the process; I'm only posting in an effort to make sure I have the best software available.
Have any of the 2009 people had 12-027 applied, after having 10-075a applied previously? Did your paperwork explicitly state "12-027"?

Hello,
I have an 09Xs.
I was trying to do the same too. The ITB number is not printed on the service report.
I "got" mine done recently and my ECU part number after programming is 23710-3WR4A.
are ECU/ECM the same??
It sucks to not have a way to definitively tell whether your car has it or not.
Could fellow 09'ers please post their "part number after programming" so that we could check?

I'll ask the same here, for 2010-2011 G37 owners: Have you had 12-027 applied, after having 10-075a applied previously? Was it successful or were you told you were 'already current" ?
This may be the situation in my case perhaps.

I can't believe how idiotic and ignorant both the dealers service departments AND Infiniti customer service are. My car is fixed, and yet reading this I still have a hatred for Infiniti!! They should be ashamed of themselves. Three years of this bull**** with this POS transmission, and these morons still cant tell their asses from their elbows. 075a is a disaster. 027 fixes it. Plenty of cars have already been updated from 075a to 027. Any dealer that says otherwise is full of ****.
You have to do their jobs for them. Tell them that ITB12-027 or 027a applies to your car, and do not leave there until they fix their computer system, fix their brains, or both. I'm disgusted, and I'm not even experiencing any problems now.

What do you do then? Beat them up?

That said, there is another dealer in St. Louis that I have an appt. with earlier in the day before the one at my original dealer (This coming Wednesday). See what the other guys say.

I suppose the problem is that they might be running consult 3 not 3+. My dealer is in the middle of nowhere/loserville, and they were able to get it done, so I just assume (perhaps incorrectly) that there must be a lot of stupiditiy involved if other dealers can't get this done.

By the way...... I have the 027 update and it's been 100% great. Except this one time: I was driving around pretty slowly around 10-15 mph up and down, coming up a hill at around 10mph or so coasting to a stop... MEaning the car would have stopped on its own even without brake application, since it was enough of an uphill to stop it. Anyway, I got 2 or 3 rapid clunks/shudders in a row as I slowed to a stop. I was in "D", had not touched the paddles. It wasn't harsh but definitely unusual and my passenger noticed it immediately. I was pretty surprised when that happened, since it has been behaving excellently otherwise. This is not the kind of glitch that will cause me to complain unless it started happening a lot.
