Manual Mode Not Upshifting.

I had just recently had a bad battery replaced by my dealership. After that, I have recently been experiencing some sort of malfunction with manual shift mode. As I always drive in MM this has become quite bothersome. It happens once in a while and is becoming more frequent. It doesnt matter if its from 1st gear > 2nd gear or 2nd gear > 3rd gear and so on, when I try shifting up, it simply would not shift. Usually I would have to just push the shifter up once more, and the gears would change. However, now its become so that I would have to push the shifter up atleast 2-3 more times for it to shift. And just tonight I actually had to push the shifter back into D.

I know there have been other shifter/transmission problems that other people have been experiencing, but I have yet to find another person post a problem exactly like mine (right?). Would anyone happen to know what is causing this problem? Could it be something related to the electrical system?

Yes I am above 2000 RPM when I try to shift. I've already called the dealership and they've told me that they've seen this problem before. Has to do with the microchip for the manual mode. Getting my car taken in for a diagnostic and then they'll order the parts to replace it.

mine shift manual mode from 1-2, 2-3 at around 3.5 rpm, and 3-4,4-5 at around 3k rpm, and 5-6, 6-7 at 2.5 rpm

Yes, however the problem with mine is not when i shift, it is the fact that at random times it simply does not shift the gear, no matter what RPMs im at. It's becoming more and more frequent. My car is getting diagnosed tomorrow, and probably will have the part warrantied, which I do not mind.

Well, got this fixed. Turns out as expected, something wrong with the microchip controlling the shifting in manual mode. Got that replaced and everythings fine now.
