RPI Ram Air Intake

I actually have a buddiee with this intake on his M3.

They company (RPI) said they prototyped a new intake for the G37. But they need someone in SoCal to test it for them. (Includes before and after dynos)

No G37x though, has to be RWD for dyno testing.

You car must be stock with no aftermarket modifications. Although we do prefer a manual transmission car, an automatic will be ok. A dyno waiver will have to be signed and we would need your car for a full day. Please contact us for more details.

That was pretty funny.

The company wants to do before and after dynos, so there will not be any crazy stupid claims. I am pretty interested so I hope someone in socal does this. I want to see what they do.

Will they be "ramming" air in from the grille or will some cutting in the bumper/hood be needed?

looking at the pics of the BMW, seems like it's a bolt on install. I was gonna do a homemade air diverter or whatever you call it a few months ago but i got sidetracked. this seems like a good option.
Interested to see how it will be designed considering the fact that we already have built-in holes that feed cold air directly to the intake box. Although it will certainly benefit from the ram air effect at highway speeds.
