So my 5th gear started to grind. dealer found the syncro mesh was done.

I just got a brand new tranny installed yesterday. How long do you guys think the break in period should be?

 

hm, how did you break the 5th gear synchro mesh? hard driving or ...?

i just drove easy for maybe a hundred miles... when i replaced my tranny... i don't really think there's a break in for the tranny

 

most break ins are bull****....drive the car wen its new just like u intend to drive it wen

 

You guys already got your tranny's replaced? under warranty?

 

I have no idea wtf happened lol. All I know is my service guy hooked me up. Usually to get a tranny repplaced the repair need to be 80% of the cost of a new tranny. So he hooked me up with a new one, all under warranty f course.

I don't think it's from driving hard. If it were 1-3 maybe 4th gear I would say yes. But 5th gear is kinda wierd, probably a just a ****ty tranny.

LMAO yup damm Canadians lol. No one mis shifted my car, cause I'm the only one that drives it oh and the shop forman at Infiniti.

 

Transmissions on our cars are the crap. Mine was replaced at 20000 miles. It sounded like a supercharger lol

 

Mine was replace at around 10k. 2nd one has a wierd noise, not loud -yet, when shifting 3-to-4, with only about 1k on it....... this sucks.
