Should I change my oil?
Alright guys so here's the story.
May 2, 2008 I got my car.
I work in the city, so I take the train to work.
I only use my car on weekends.
I currently have 1800 miles on my car.
so over the last 4 1/2 months I only put up 1800 miles, I am assuming I will reach 2k miles by the 5th month.
So my question is should I change my oil? or wait until I reach 3750 miles? which probably wont happen until 2009!!!
Let me know your inputs.
Thanks!

Maybe overkill but it makes me feel good.

I always have my first oil change at 1,000 km (600 miles or so). My belief, whether true or not, is that there is a lot of crap in the engine from manufacturing and early, early break-in that I want to get out. I do an early oil change for a good synthetic and then follow the recommended oil change schedule from there.
Maybe overkill but it makes me feel good.

I really dont know what to do, I just want to do the right thing
I would get it changed. I don't put that many miles on my car either. I have had my car for 9 months and only have 6002 miles on it and had the oil changed twice so far. I will be taking it in every 3 months regardless of the miles on it. It's either 3,00 miles or every 3 months.
You can go 12 months with the original oil in there if your miles are still below 3,750. I know I'll get flamed with that comment
, but call the service department. If it makes you feel better change it. I'm probably the only one on this board who thinks early oil changes are a waste of time and effort.

WHAT! won't cost more than $30?? oil changes cost a lot more than that. (if done professionally by the dealer) but the first oil change should be free.
I have 2,400 miles on my car right now, and it is about 3 months old, I will wait till it has around 3,000 miles or is 4-5 months old before I get it changed.
