Coolant Leak - Hose? Coolant? or Something Else...
2010 G37 Sedan; 110k
so i was checking my car oil & noticed this (see pics).
the car oil looks good & normal.
my cousin told me it is seeping from the hose so that needs to change. im looking to change the hose, prob do the coolant change as well since it is at 110k.
question: if im changing the coolant & if i have the lisle funnel to burp the system, do i still need to burp from the valve by the headlight next to the radiator?
also, how bad is this? how soon do i need to get this done?
thanks in advance.

Yes you will have to bleed the system to take the hose off. Yes you will need the funnel to properly burp the system. Yes the bleeder valve is to speed up the draining and refilling process. Yes you should do it soon

At 110K i'd be replacing the hoses, thermostat and radiator cap. In fact, the latter 2 should of already been replaced at least once if not more.
When doing my drain/fill a few months ago I didn't use any lisle funnels or undo the bleeder screw. Instead I used this tool - UView 550000 .
Took all of about 5 minutes to refill. Next time will try to use a 2 gal container to dump all the new fluid in so no need to switch containers during refill (system needs about 1.5 Gal of coolant for a drain/fill).

so after replacing the hose, drove around (1-3 miles)... came back & check & saw some seeping
i was trying to clean the residual from old hose as best i can but that is as good as it gets (see pics). my friend told me i need to get a razor & get it off. man, guess i got to burp the system again
do ya have any other recommendation on how to remove that residual?
thanks in advance
